Daily Inspiration: Meet Dayana Weffer

Today we’d like to introduce you to Dayana Weffer.

Hi Dayana, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I started You Heavenly Dog Grooming (A Division of Fairview Dog Grooming LLC) with a pair of clippers, a big dream, and a heart for dogs. What began as a one-woman operation in Fairview has grown into a full-service grooming salon known for its loving care, gentle care environment, and heavenly transformations.

My journey wasn’t easy — I built this business from the ground up while balancing motherhood, challenges, and faith. Every dog I groomed reminded me why I started: to create a place where pets feel loved and owners feel peace of mind. Over time, You Heavenly Dog became more than a business; it became a community.

Today, I lead a team that shares that same passion and purpose. We’ve expanded services, built a loyal local following, and become a name families trust. I’m proud that what started as a small dream has turned into a brand that celebrates love, loyalty, and the joy dogs bring to our lives every single day.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has definitely not been a smooth road. As a Hispanic woman and a mom building a business from scratch, I faced challenges most people never see. I started with limited resources and a dream that others sometimes doubted. But I refused to let that stop me.

There were moments when I didn’t know how I’d keep the doors open; juggling motherhood, finances, and long nights at the salon — but my determination, work ethic, and faith kept me going. I had to learn everything the hard way, from hiring and managing a team to handling setbacks and personal struggles that could have easily derailed my vision.

Being a Latina entrepreneur taught me resilience and pride to stand tall in who I am and to show others that you can build something beautiful from nothing. Every obstacle became part of my story, shaping not just my business, but the woman I’ve become. You Heavenly Dog isn’t just a grooming salon, it’s living proof that perseverance, love, and faith can turn even the hardest road into something extraordinary.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
At You Heavenly Dog Grooming, I specialize in transforming each dog that walks through our doors not just in looks, but in how they feel. My work combines artistry, compassion, and precision. Grooming to me isn’t just a service; it’s a creative expression and a way to bring out each dog’s personality.

We’re known for our in-home grooming, gentle handling, and relaxed grooming experience that feels more like a spa day than a typical appointment. Every detail, from our signature cuts to our calming atmosphere, is designed to make pets feel safe and loved while giving owners peace of mind.

As a Hispanic woman and small business owner, I take pride in the heart behind everything we do. What sets us apart is our genuine care, every groomer on my team is trained not just in technique, but in empathy. We treat every dog like family.

I’m most proud that You Heavenly Dog has become a trusted name in our community a place built on love, faith, and hard work. We’ve grown through word of mouth, loyalty, and the joy we create in every wagging tail that leaves our salon.

Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
What makes me happiest is seeing the joy on a dog’s face after a fresh groom. That tail wag, that sparkle in their eyes, it never gets old. It’s a reminder that what I do every day truly matters. Making pets feel loved and cared for fills my heart in a way nothing else does.

I also find happiness in knowing I’ve built something meaningful; not just a business, but a place that brings comfort to both pets and people. Watching my team grow, seeing clients return year after year, and knowing my work touches lives makes all the long hours worth it.

As a Hispanic woman and a mom, happiness for me also means showing my children that dreams do come true when you work hard and lead with kindness. My faith, my family, and every happy pup that leaves our salon remind me that joy is found in serving others with love.
