Hi More, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I started my photography journey nine years ago as a stay-at-home mom with a six-month-old baby and a $500 camera. I just wanted to take better photos of my son, but I quickly realized it wasn’t as simple as pressing a button. I became obsessed with learning everything I could, and within two months I started my own business and just a few weeks into it , I was fully booked.
Over the years, I’ve moved cross-country three times and had to rebuild my business from scratch each time. Those experiences taught me how to stay adaptable, connect with new communities, and create work that truly stands out.
Today, I specialize in luxury newborn, maternity, and family photography, creating bright, joyful, light-filled images that capture real connection. I also create photography courses and content that teach aspiring photographers how to take beautiful photos and build their own dream photography business.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It definitely hasn’t always been a smooth road. Re-starting my business from scratch three different times was challenging in so many ways. Each move meant leaving behind loyal clients who had become like friends and rebuilding my brand and reputation all over again in a new place.
On top of that, balancing it all while being a mom of three little ones and running two businesses has had its overwhelming moments. But every challenge has taught me resilience, adaptability, and how to create a business that fits my life -not the other way around
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I’m a motherhood and family photographer based in Franklin, Tennessee. I specialize in bright, natural, joy-filled images that capture connection and emotion in a real, effortless way. My work focuses on documenting families as they truly are -playful, imperfect, and full of love.
I’m most proud of the experience I’ve created for my clients. From the curated client closet and personalized styling to the way I help families feel comfortable in front of the camera, every detail is designed to make the process stress-free and meaningful.
What sets me apart is how personal I make each session. I photograph every family as if they were my own, and I genuinely care about preserving these memories for them. After almost a decade of doing this, I still get emotional every time a mom tells me she finally feels seen in her photos
What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
I think the most important quality behind my success has been consistency & showing up even when things felt uncertain or overwhelming. Every time I’ve had to start over, I reminded myself that connection and genuine care always matter most. I’ve built my business by staying true to my style, treating every client like family, and focusing on creating an experience people remember. That consistency, both in how I serve and how I show up, has made all the difference
