Today we’d like to introduce you to Andrea DeWinter.
Hi Andrea, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
Our journey to Tennessee began under unexpected circumstances. In May 2021, just one week after I graduated as a Nurse Practitioner, my husband Mike suffered a spinal cord injury on a job site. At that moment, I postponed starting my NP career and worked nights as an RN in the CVICU, dedicating my days to helping Mike with his rehabilitation.
We sold our home and most of our belongings to adjust to our new reality and moved into a travel trailer. For the next year and a half, we embraced travel nursing, living in different locations and learning to adapt together. Our first stop in Tennessee was the Clarksville RV Park, where I commuted to Nashville to work in the ICU. During that time, Mike and I fell in love with the state and decided it was where we wanted to build our future.
Eventually, we found a place to call home in the charming town of Linden, TN. Shortly thereafter, I began working as an NP in Urgent Care, then as a Hospitalist for a local community hospital. Around the same time, I followed my entrepreneurial spirit and launched Radiant Wellness & Aesthetics (originally AD Medical Aesthetics). Initially, it started small—just Botox parties—I simply wanted to earn a little extra money for a pool.
But word quickly spread, and clients began requesting higher-level services. The need for a dedicated space became clear, and I soon outgrew the first small office. Today, our practice occupies a beautiful building in downtown Linden, offering a full suite of aesthetic services, including Botox and fillers, microneedling, and microdermabrasion, alongside an on-site esthetician. Our wellness offerings have expanded as well, with weight loss programs, hormone replacement therapy, lab work, and vitamin injections.
The warmth and support of the Linden and Perry County community have been incredible. We are proud to be part of this town and to help our neighbors look and feel their best. What began as a small side venture is growing into a thriving practice—built on resilience, community, and a shared vision of wellness and beauty.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
One of my biggest challenges—and one I don’t often share—is how my husband’s injury changed my vision of the future. There was real grief over the loss of the life we had planned together. Beyond supporting him through his physical and emotional recovery, I had to process that loss myself and find a new path forward. I needed to create a life where I could still reach my full potential while also being in a community and environment that could support my husband. Working through that taught me resilience, adaptability, and the importance of building a life and career that balances personal growth with family and community support.
As you know, we’re big fans of rADiant Wellness & Aesthetics. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
Radiant Wellness & Aesthetics is a nurse practitioner–owned medspa in the heart of downtown Linden, TN, offering a personalized blend of aesthetics and wellness. What started as a small idea—just me hosting Botox parties—has grown into a full-service wellness and aesthetics practice dedicated to helping people look and feel their best from the inside out.
We specialize in a wide range of services, including injectables such as Botox and dermal fillers, microneedling, facials, dermaplaning, and advanced skin treatments. On the wellness side, we provide weight loss management, hormone replacement therapy, lab work, and vitamin injections—bridging the gap between beauty and health.
What sets us apart is our personalized, relationship-based care. Every service is delivered with the same level of attention and compassion I bring to my medical practice. We take time to educate clients, tailor treatments to their unique goals, and make everyone feel comfortable—never rushed or “sold to.”
I’m most proud of how Radiant Wellness & Aesthetics has grown organically through trust, community, and word-of-mouth. Our clients know us not just as an aesthetics clinic, but as a place where wellness, confidence, and self-care come together.
At Radiant, we believe beauty is more than skin deep—it’s about restoring confidence, balance, and vitality. We’re proud to be part of Perry County and to serve our small-town community with big-city expertise and heart.
