Today we’d like to introduce you to Shasta Smith.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I come from humble beginnings, I was a teen mom and high school dropout who just wanted to create a better life. What began as a hustle turned into a mission. I built my first business, FYAB, out of my granny’s dinning room and used every sale to pour back into the community feeding families, sponsoring youth, and helping people get through tough seasons.
That same heart led me to create SNÉRA Athlete Collective, a brand built on legacy, and community impact. Through SNÉRA, I work with professional athletes to help them use their platforms for purpose hosting annual drives, youth programs, and wellness events that have provided thousands of children with meals, supplies, and holiday gifts.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I’ve faced almost every kind of obstacle you can imagine from financial struggles and self-doubt to learning how to run a business with no blueprint. I also battle with Lupus & other health issues that sometimes have limited me. There were times I didn’t know how things would come together, but giving up was never an option.
I’ve had to navigate being a young mom, working multiple jobs, and building something from the ground up without resources or connections. But every challenge taught me resilience and gave me perspective. The same struggles that once felt like setbacks are now the reason I can pour into others with empathy and purpose.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about SNERA Athlete Collective ?
SNÉRA Athlete Collective is more than a management company it’s a movement built on community, purpose, and impact. While we work closely with professional athletes to help them build their brands and foundations, our heart is rooted in service. Through SNÉRA, we host large-scale community drives, youth programs, and wellness events that directly support families and children in transitional housing across Tennessee and Georgia.
What sets us apart is that giving back isn’t a campaign it’s our culture. I’ve built SNÉRA to represent what it means to lead with heart and use influence for good. Each year, we raise hundreds of thousands of dollars, feed thousands of families, and provide resources that make a real difference.
I’m most proud that our brand has become a bridge connecting athletes, businesses, and everyday people to the power of collective giving. SNÉRA stands for unity, growth, and legacy and I want people to know that everything we do starts and ends with community.
What’s next?
I’m really focused on expansion not just for the brand, but for the impact. We’re planning to grow SNÉRA’s community programs and create more consistent outreach for families year-round, not just during the holidays.
Right now, I’m looking forward to our December 3rd “Giving Experience” event at Framework Studios a wellness-based fundraiser that helps us provide Christmas for over 200 children in transitional housing. It’s a perfect reflection of what SNÉRA stands for: bringing people together through purpose, unity, and giving.
Looking ahead, I want to continue building spaces where philanthropy feels personal, not corporate connecting everyday people, athletes, and businesses to something meaningful. The goal is always growth, but growth with heart.
