Today we’d like to introduce you to Wayne Treanor.
Hi Wayne, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Originally from Brooklyn New York. I moved to Florida and after high school I joined the Navy and served 8 years as a avionics technician. After the Navy I started working as a computer tech and later got into restaurant management. Ive been married for 37 years and have 2 grown kids. I enjoy working out and the outdoors but also like my quiet time at home. My sister in law has been a realtor/broker for many years and I always wanted to be a realtor. I love homes and helping people. After 20 years as a restaurant manager,I had had enough of that. I was working 60-70 hours per week and barely getting by. I need a change. I was nervous about quitting my salaried job but I had nothing to lose. I was miserable and decied to change that. I told my wife Beth what my idea was and she was hesitant but then agreed to lets go for it. . I took out a home equity loan to get us by for about 6 months and then quit my job and went into real estate full time at a local brokerage. It was tough in the beginning and money was running low but failure literally was not an option. With a recommendation from my friend Jen Lambert, I joined Remax Advantage in 2020 and my career took off. I exceeded my goal the very first year I was with them. I was actually able to go to the grocery store without bringing a calculator to make sure I didnt overspend what I had. I have been a top producer since my first year with Remax. I hold several designations including CRS. I am a miracle maker for the Childrens miracle network as well as a mentor . I love to help people find their dream home, especially those that never thought they could be a homeowner and have fun doing it. One free dad joke with every home purchase!!
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I have to say I have been fortunate to be with an amazing brokerage filled with great people. Its been smooth for the most part but having a thick skin definitely helps. Some struggles are not knowing when you will get paid. You cant just sit back because you are self employed. It taked hard work and constant follow up.

Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
Thats a tough one but my resources and gut feeling tell me things are going to remain steady in the Nashville market. I see the area continuing to grow and Tennesse as a whole will continue to draw people here.
