Today we’d like to introduce you to Trenton Grayson.
Hi Trenton, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I’m Trenton Grayson from Wetumpka ,Al 28 years old I have two businesses I make shirts Heat press, DTG Maker , and screenprinter and I also have a clean business G Cleaning LLC located in Montgomery Al. I am very meticulous about my personal clothing choices. The smallest detail, such as the stitching, is a big deal for me. I like clothing styles that fit and represent my personality (who and how I am). I am a cool guy with a positive and confident vibe. So, my clothing and fashion choices reflect me.
In high school, a few close friends and I became serious about the idea of a clothing brand. We began to come to the table with our ideas, and soon we were able to launch Bad Idea Clothing. A couple of years later, the group split. We used social media for most of our marketing strategies which were surprisingly and overwhelmingly remarkable in terms of sales and support.
After the group split, I took time off from the clothing brand to figure out what I wanted to do. With the help of my older brother Stan, I relaunched Bad Idea Clothing. My brother added a more personal side to marketing by creating a functioning website that featured a variety of my merchandise. Today, I control the brand, creating, planning and sales. I continue expanding and introducing new merch, and I have participated in several showcases this year. Things are going great!
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It’s definitely obstacles with getting into anything you pursue. With steady have to learn how grow and maintain your business. To learn how to scale it , and being able to set aside time to work on your craft are things I’m going through right now. Yes they get smooth once you create a certain system to your work situation and having a good life balance work & enjoying life itself but most main ingredient to have when going through obstacles is GOD because problems are not forever they shall past.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
Well I recently started my New Job as YOUTH CASE MANAGER AT IN THE DOOR in the Montgomery Al. Where we help kids 16-24 with job placement helping them develop a plan and career so when get into this world they are prepared and having a foundation on there career. I also own my cleaning company G Cleaning LLC “WE PUT THE G IN GREAT CLEANING”. Also located in Montgomery Al 3 contracts and we offer Office cleaning, House cleaning, Grievance cleaning ,and move out & move in cleaning.
We’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from when you were growing up?
My favorite childhood memory would be have to be, a family photo shoot. We would get together and go see my Grandma Louise Griffin may She Rest In Peace, we visited her at the nursery home she was staying at the time , we wore a certain color and brand for the photoshoot. It was white polo shirt and navy polo man and horse Ralph Lauren was the brand and everyone in the family had the same and color for my grandmother it was fun and beautiful that I still cherish till this day.
