Rising Stars: Meet Seemi Rizvi of Nashville

Today we’d like to introduce you to Seemi Rizvi.

Hi Seemi, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Strolling through Centennial Park, I stumbled into a celebration of culture. Music, color, and community came to life in every direction. I had a single henna cone in my pocket, and somehow, courage rose in me. I started doing henna for people right there.

Before I knew it, strangers were asking for my business card. Hearing for the very first time that I was a great artist felt unreal. That moment became the beginning of my journey. My business was born from pure intuition, spontaneity, and connection.

Now, people seek the “See Me” experience, calling me a “living auricle.”
It is such an honor.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
People often see the beauty of where I am now, but they don’t see the road behind me.
There was nothing smooth about it.

My biggest struggle honestly wasn’t talent or opportunity. It was the programming I grew up with. Cultural expectations shaped my life in a way that made entrepreneurship feel out of reach. I longed for love, but in my world that only existed after an arranged marriage. A “good wife” was expected to have a baby in the first year, and I did. Then another. And another. And another. Four children to raise practically alone, my entire family oceans away in Pakistan.

On top of that, I didn’t even realize how deeply codependency held me. Building an independent business felt almost impossible. And without resources, support, or knowledge, the idea stayed buried for years.

But even with all of that, something in me survived.
And that “something” is what finally brought me here.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
Reading the patterns of henna is my specialty. My henna body art is a direct connection with your higher self. It’s an intuitive dialogue that helps reveal your gifts, support your spiritual journey, and guide you through your human experience so you can help others through theirs.

When I work, I draw the spiritual elements of your story into the physical world. I use my clairvoyance, intuition, and sensitivity to energy to create a deeply personalized experience through my art. In these moments, I feel that I become an illuminating mirror reflecting your past struggles, highlighting the treasures of your present, and revealing the bounties your future holds.

Through this process, I help you tap into your subconscious to find answers you may never have considered consciously. Together, we weave your story into a greater context, uncovering life lessons, wisdom, and self-awareness. From there, the possibilities unfold—shaped by the path you choose next.

I am truly honored to be known for offering an uplifting, one-of-a-kind experience, one that makes people feel seen for the very first time. So often, I witness tears of immense joy as something inside them awakens.

In those moments, I feel I am fulfilling my purpose on this earth: to remind people how incredible they are, how unique their gifts truly are, and how deeply they matter.

Through my work, I offer not just art, but recognition, reflection, and tools to help each person understand how their gifts can be used, expanded, and shared with the world.

Before we let you go, we’ve got to ask if you have any advice for those who are just starting out?
My advice is the same guidance I wish I could have given my younger self:
to trust in my own being, my own gifts, and my own uniqueness.
I was perfect then, and I am perfect now. Just as a caterpillar is perfect, a cocoon is perfect, and a butterfly is perfect. Every stage has its own sacred design. This is true for me, and I believe it is true for everyone.

To be honest, I truly believe in oneness. There is no real separation.
Separation is what creates pain and suffering.
But when I choose to believe in wonders, pain begins to transmute into understanding, into compassion, into light.

It is daily work choosing the path of least resistance, following my bliss, and returning again and again to the present moment.

Because living in the past is depression.
Living in the future is anxiety.
Living in the now is the gift we always have available.

And I choose that gift, every day.
