Check Out Angelica Rodriguez’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Angelica Rodriguez.

Hi Angelica, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
My journey into esthetics began before I ever entered a treatment room. I struggled with acne for years, and it affected my confidence in ways I didn’t fully understand until I was older. I spent so much money trying to “fix” my skin, often feeling defeated because I couldn’t afford the treatments or products that promised results. Those experiences stayed with me, they’re the reason I wanted to create a space where people could feel cared for, understood, and supported without feeling limited by their budget or ashamed of their skin.
After leaving the military, I wasn’t sure what my future would look like and felt like I was falling behind. I knew one thing, I wanted to wake up every day excited for what I was doing. I wanted to do something meaningful, something that allowed me to help people on a deeper level. Helping someone feel comfortable in their own skin felt purposeful. So I followed that feeling.
Starting a business was intimidating, I had no idea how to build something from the ground up, and I was doing it in a brand new state with no family or support system nearby besides my husband (who also had no clue how to start a business). I was learning everything business, marketing, licensing, networking all while getting myself to believe I belong and am worthy of success. Every challenge pushed me to grow and every client that left my studio happy and more in-love with themselves than when they came in kept me going!
Today, my studio is a reflection of everything I once needed and believe everyone deserves to have: a calm, welcoming environment, intentional treatments, and genuine connection. I never want my clients to feel rushed or like they’re just another appointment. My approach is slow, mindful, and focused on making people feel safe, seen, and cared for. And just as importantly, I’ve built my services to be fairly priced and accessible because everyone deserves the chance to feel good in their skin.
What started as my personal struggle became the foundation of my purpose. Helping others “treat their skin with love” is the work that fills me with gratitude every single day. Might just be a little studio but it’s my whole heart!

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Let’s just say the road was less smooth and more potholes, detours, and construction zones like the I-24.
I struggled the most with being fresh out of the military and living in a completely new state with no family, or friends to be my support system. I had no background in business or entrepreneurship, so everything from licensing to marketing was a learning curve. On top of that, I was navigating my own insecurities from years of struggling with acne and feeling unsure if people would trust me. But each obstacle pushed me to grow, and every step taught me resilience and the importance of creating a space built on intentional care.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
In my studio, I specialize in creating intentional, results-driven facials, waxing treatments, and lash and brow enhancements that prioritize both skin health and overall experience. I’m known for my calming green walled studio, and meaningful approach. Every treatment is fully customized and I don’t rush my clients in and out. I take my time to understand their concerns, goals, and their comfort level.
What I’m most proud of is the environment I’ve built. I started with nothing and created a place where I get to pour love into what I do everyday.
Clients often tell me how much they look forward to their next appointment, complemented my gentle touch, and shared their experience as being comfortable and supportive. These comments mean everything to me.
What sets me apart is my commitment to accessibility and genuine connection. Skincare changed my life, and I want to make it attainable for others. My goal has always been to blend effective treatments with a comforting, personal experience so all my clients leave not only glowing, but more confident inside and out.

What would you say have been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
My biggest lesson learned is that purpose is built, not found. I realized all I needed to do was keep showing up for myself even on days I felt unworthy. Reminding myself of my “why” why did I start this journey? To help those who struggle with confidence and need a little help in the self care department like I once did (and sometimes still do). I can now confidently say I’ve been able to create the kind of space I needed for myself and now I’m honored to offer to others.
