Today we’d like to introduce you to Anna Land.
Hi Anna, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I grew up in upstate New York and my interest in medicine and Dermatology began with my own struggles with acne as a teenager, and having a strong family history of skin cancer including melanoma. I saw firsthand how deeply skin health affects confidence and well-being and how important routine skin screenings are for prevention and treatment of cancer. My father was also an internal medicine physician for over thirty years and his devotion to his patients and ability to positively impact their lives was always something I wanted to emulate. These personal experiences drove me toward a similar career path where I could support others with compassion and expertise. I also love that dermatology blends medical acumen with aesthetic artistry, with ongoing advances in lasers and devices to optimize patient outcomes.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
My journey to become a dermatologist has been one of hardships and successes. As a competitive medical specialty, it required constant studying, research, presenting and training throughout medical school, internship and residency. There were many missed social events and long nights in the Iibrary during those years. I had two of my three children, my boys, during my medical training and my daughter during my first year of private practice. Balancing work life and training with family time can be challenging and exhausting. However, being able to treat patients and have a lasting relationship with them is special and unique and something I am so grateful to be able to have.

A. G. Dermatology was named after my daughter and grandmother, to reflect that the practice was created to treat patients like family and to be cared for over a lifetime. As a dermatologist, our practice emphasizes expert care that puts the patient first and takes the time to understand their preferences and goals.
I am an expert in both medical dermatologic conditions as well as cosmetic dermatology and offer a variety of lasers, cosmetic injections and focus on a natural approach to aging. After residency I completed a fellowship in integrative dermatology so I always incorporate a whole-body approach when it comes to skin conditions and aesthetics
