Today we’d like to introduce you to Rae Finn.
Hi Rae, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Hogwash n Rhinestones started in 2011 as a western tshirt company….and slowly evolved into a western/rock n roll fashion brand designing everything from jackets to jeans. I think fashion really speaks volumes about a person, so our pieces are designed to stand out and make a statement. We have a passion for upcycling, so the majority of our designs are sustainable slow fashion. We currently are working on a few capsule collections for Spring 2026
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I would say we have truly been on some Happy Trails…a few bumps but manageable ones. Fashion trends are constantly changing so there are times we have to redesign a look based on what’s hot in the fashion market. Marketing has been a bit of a struggle….we just hired a social media manager to help with brand promotion
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
We love designing stage wear and concert outfits!!! I’m fringe obsessed so a lot of our designs are crowned with fringe!! No 2 pieces are alike, which our customer (especially musicians) really appreciates! I love the process of designing, sometimes halfway through a project I can completely alter the original design. I love seeing my designs on Musicians down in Nashville, those moments I cherish and am most proud of.
Do you have any advice for those just starting out?
Fashion is highly competitive, stay true to yourself and design from your heart. Also know your worth, pricing my pieces was my biggest challenge….it took me a long time to recognize the hard work I put in to every piece and be comfortable putting a price on it.
