We recently had the chance to connect with Kaleisha Walker and have shared our conversation below.
Kaleisha , a huge thanks to you for investing the time to share your wisdom with those who are seeking it. We think it’s so important for us to share stories with our neighbors, friends and community because knowledge multiples when we share with each other. Let’s jump in: What do the first 90 minutes of your day look like?
Ing-ing! What’s ing-ing? Aside from the basics (brushing my teeth, etc.), I’m thanking, praising, worshipping God for another day that He allowed me to see here on this side of the living, for great life, great health, great strength, activity of all my limbs, my family and loved ones, His infinite and bountiful blessings and prayers. I’m also praying and reading my Bible and devotional and reflecting. I am also listening to gospel music (Tasha Cobbs’ radio station), watching the sunrise, and working out. That’s what the first 90 minutes of my day looks like. If my day doesn’t start this way first, my whole day is thrown off. As long as it’s in my control, I intentionally start each day this meaningful and blessed way.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?

Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. Who taught you the most about work?
My mother. Since I was a little girl, I’ve seen my mother work extremely hard, tirelessly, relentlessly and without complaint. At one point, she worked two full-time jobs for nearly two decades. In the past, if I ever felt tired from working, I would think of my mother, imagine what she must have felt when she was working 80+ hours every single week, then I would stop complaining and saying I’m tired. My mother is, without a doubt, the hardest working woman I know. She instilled that hard-work philosophy within me and is truly my inspiration, my hero. I immensely commend you, Mommy. For everything you’ve done for me, taught me, etc., Mommy, I eternally thank you. You molded me into the woman I am. I pray that I’ve made you proud in every facet of my life. I love you beyond measure, Mother. I thank God every single day that He intentionally chose you to be my mother; He knew I needed you. God bless you, Mom.
If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
Brave little girl, you can absolutely be anything you want to be in this life. The world is your oyster. Please do not suppress your real dreams and goals because you think they are too big or will never come to fruition. The world needs you and your dreams to be fulfilled so you can help others fulfill theirs and fulfill God’s will. Trust in yourself. Trust in God. Believe. Keep the faith. Dream big. Achieve your big dreams. Even if you don’t accomplish a dream at the age you envisioned, you can still accomplish it at a later age, so please never give up or doubt yourself. And when you grow up to be an adult, who will always be that brave kid at heart, continue to be brave even if you have to be the scared brave. God gave you dreams and a purpose – on purpose.
Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
My relationship with God, Jesus. My family and loved ones. Helping others. Encouraging souls.
Before we go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on some longer-run, legacy type questions. What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
That I brought joy, happiness, peace, light, love, and Jesus to their lives. She was a good, kind, generous, compassionate soul who genuinely cared about others, helped them however she could and routinely strived to leave a positive impact on everyone she encountered. She was a woman of her word and with strong integrity. Kaleisha was a believer who was unashamed and unapologetic in her faith and her love for God, Jesus; she professed it wherever she journeyed. Kaleisha was God’s servant and a willing vessel. She was passionate and intentional about doing God’s will and bringing more souls to the Lord. She did it all for His glory, to give Him all the praise, glory and honor.
