Today we’d like to introduce you to LeWayne Bullard.
Hi LeWayne, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
After graduating from Oakland High School in Murfreesboro I went off and joined the Navy. After struggling to figure out what I wanted to do and picking the wrong job out of MEPS, I was blessed with the opportunity to switch from being an ET (Electronics Tech) to being an IT (information Systems Tech) in A school. So for the next 10 years I served as an IT in the military (Norfolk on the USS Nashville, Iceland and Tampa at McDill AFB).
After getting out of the Navy I worked at a local Powerscribe company in Douglasville Ga before moving to Springfield, TN for 6 months then moving back to Murfreesboro. Was blessed to land a gob working at ICA for a year, then Cybera, then Vandy, finally the VA. While at the VA, I would do little jobs to help people with IT and computer things. Around 2020 my wife told me I should open a business was a side hustle doing IT, especially with people going home for covid. I did that for 2 years before I ran into Sparkle, an MSP (managed service provider) here in Murfreesboro. Met with her and she explained why becoming an MSP was the way to go. I then changed my business model to become an MSP. So one day one of my break fix clients invited me to a networking group. While there I met Angela, the co owner of a local title company (Lawyers Land and Title). She invited me to the office to see if I could help them. She became my first client. She the referred me to my second client, Farrer Properties, who referred me to Farrer Bro Excavating, followed by Angela referring me to Access Title and God has been blessing me ever since. We now service around 10 businesses and growing.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Starting and running a business in my mind is never smooth. I have to get the right software. I have to make sure everything that needs protecting is protected. I need to get the right price point. I have to be in the community and give back. Do all of this while leading my family and being the man the God would have me to be in all aspects of my like (Home, Church, Business and community)

What does success mean to you?
I define success by providing for my family, being there for my family (immediate, extended and Church family) taking care of my customers, and doing all of it while showing the love of Christ in my life and doing it in a manner that will make God proud.
