Today we’d like to introduce you to Honorée Corder.
Hi Honorée, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
My publishing journey began in 2004 when I wrote and published my first book, Tall Order! Organize Your Life and Double Your Success in Half the Time. At the time, I was working as a business and executive coach and corporate trainer, helping leaders perform at their best was already my world. But writing that book opened a new world for me. I experienced firsthand what a book can do: how it positions you, amplifies your message, and opens doors that no business card or brochure ever could. That discovery changed my career and ignited a passion I didn’t know I had, ultimately leading me to where I am today as an Executive Book Producer, helping other leaders and entrepreneurs bring their most important ideas to the world.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Ha! Smooth is not the exact word I’d use. I was forging a genuinely new path: figuring out how to self-publish professionally in ways that were both effective and efficient at a time when very few people were doing it the way I envisioned. And I was building my business as a single mom, which meant the stakes were very real.
Along the way, I made costly mistakes, financial and otherwise. I trusted the wrong people. I encountered setbacks that might have stopped other peopleThere were times when I questioned everything, but I’ve come to believe that those hard seasons were happening for me, not to me. They were allowing me to gain the expertise I now bring to my clients.
One of the biggest lessons was this: being great at something doesn’t automatically make you great at building a business around it. I had to develop skills I never anticipated needing, understanding contracts and margins, leading a team, and marketing myself without feeling like I was constantly selling. Every day was a learning opportunity, so it’s a good thing I love learning.
As a single mom, there were moments where I genuinely didn’t know how I was going to make it work. But I did it anyway, and the resilience helped me survive those seasons. It became one of my greatest assets, and honestly, one of the most valuable things I model for the clients I serve today.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I’m an Executive Book Producer, 68x author, and mastermind host. At the core of everything I do is helping entrepreneurs and professionals publish their books and into the world in a way that actually builds their brand and business. It’s not just a box to check.
What I specialize in is the intersection of professional publishing and entrepreneurship. I work with high-achieving people who have a powerful message and need a strategic partner to bring it to life as a business asset. That’s the distinction I’m known for: I don’t just help people write books. I help them think about their book as their most powerful revenue-building tool.
I’ve walked this path myself for over twenty years. As the author or co-author of dozens of books, including Your Book Means Business, Business Networking, Vision to Reality, and the Miracle Morning book series, I know firsthand what it takes to go from idea to published, polished, and profitable. On the production side, I’ve helped clients go from concept to best-earning book in under a year (sometimes in under six months), and turn that book into multiple revenue streams.
One of the things I’m most proud of is watching someone hold their finished book for the first time, knowing what it’s about to open up for them. That never gets old.
I’m also deeply proud of the mastermind community I’ve built — the Empire Builders Mastermind — now in its eighth year. It brings together the right people to accelerate each other’s growth in ways that can’t happen in isolation. What truly sets me apart is that I’m not leading from theory, I’m sharing battle-tested wisdom that’s been hard-won. I bring an execution-focused, no-excuses approach, because my clients don’t just want a book or an empire that owns them. They want results.
So, before we go, how can our readers or others connect or collaborate with you? How can they support you?
There are a few ways to connect with me, depending on where you are in your journey.
If you’re an entrepreneur or thought leader who knows you need a book — or you have one that isn’t working as hard as it should, working with me might be the right fit. I come in as a strategic partner and handle the entire process, from concept through the writing and production, to launch, and then on to monetization. It’s a high-touch engagement, and the results speak for themselves.
If you’re looking for a community of like-minded, high-achieving people who are serious about growth, my mastermind might be for you. We’re in our eighth year, and the caliber of people in the room, and what gets accomplished together, is something I’m incredibly proud of. It’s an application-based community, so if you’re interested, reach out and let’s have a conversation.
If you’re earlier in your journey and want to learn from everything I’ve figured out over decades and 68 books, start with my books. Your Book Means Business is a great entry point if you’re ready to understand what a book can really do for your business.
And if you simply want to support what I’m doing — share my work, refer someone who needs what I offer, or leave a review on one of my books — that means the world and has a real impact.
The best place to start is to reach out directly. I love connecting with people who are serious about making things happen.
