I’ve been in residential construction for over 30 years, with a background in mechanical design engineering that shaped how I approach building today. Early in my career, I worked hands-on in the trades, which gave me a deep appreciation for craftsmanship, precision, and thoughtful design.
Over the years, I’ve worked on a wide range of projects, including historic renovations in areas like 12 South, where I completed full home transformations while preserving character and improving functionality. That experience helped shape my approach to building — blending timeless design with modern construction and quality.
As my experience grew, I founded CJMC Build with a focus on building high-quality, thoughtfully designed homes and providing a more hands-on, personalized experience for homeowners. I’ve also built homes in East Nashville designed to complement the surrounding neighborhoods, incorporating today’s cottage-style architecture while maintaining the character and charm that makes those communities unique.
As Nashville and Middle Tennessee continued to grow, I focused more on luxury custom homes and well-designed spec homes that stand out in both quality and detail.
Today, I remain personally involved in every project, from early design through completion, building homes across Nashville, Franklin, and surrounding areas. My goal has always been simple — build exceptional homes and create a better experience for every client.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It hasn’t always been a smooth road. Like most in construction, I’ve navigated market shifts, rising material costs, and the challenges that come with growing a business. Early on, building trust and establishing a reputation in a competitive market was one of the biggest hurdles.
Over time, those challenges helped shape how I operate today — staying hands-on, focusing on quality, and building strong relationships. In many ways, the struggles made the company stronger and helped define the level of craftsmanship and service we’re known for today.

What are your plans for the future?
Looking ahead, my focus is on continuing to grow CJMC Build while staying true to what has made us successful — quality, thoughtful design, and a hands-on approach. As Nashville and the surrounding areas continue to grow, I see strong opportunities to build more high-end custom homes and well-designed spec homes in some of Middle Tennessee’s most desirable areas.
I’m also focused on strengthening the CJMC Build brand and expanding our presence in the luxury market, while still maintaining the personal involvement that sets us apart. Long term, I’m excited about taking on larger, more distinctive projects and continuing to build homes that stand out for their craftsmanship and attention to detail.
Overall, the goal is steady, intentional growth — building exceptional homes, expanding into new opportunities, and continuing to elevate the level of quality our clients and buyers expect from CJMC Build.
