Today we’d like to introduce you to Braden Warren.
Hi Braden, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I taught math in the classroom for nearly 10 years before deciding to find work outside of the classroom. As the demands of teaching increased, my level of interest decreased. I figured since I had a math background though, I should pursue something that I enjoyed doing and that was working with numbers. Bookkeeping seemed like a natural way to use my math skills while also allowing me to help small business owners understand where their money is going each month.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It has not been a smooth road. It was hard putting in so many hours of teaching, prepping and grading each week. When I finally decided to switch careers, it was even harder to find clients that didn’t already have a good bookkeeper or know someone who knew someone that was a good bookkeeper.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I provide monthly bookkeeping services and specialize in cleaning up the books. I am most proud of the team I have to support me if I ever come across a difficult situation.
If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
Growing up I was the kid that was always interested in technology and helping others. I’ve been told I have a servants heart and really enjoy seeing others benefit from my help.
