Today we’d like to introduce you to Tom Davis.
Hi Tom, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Hilltop Foam Parties started pretty organically. I was already running Hilltop Website Design and working with a lot of local businesses, and I kept seeing the same thing over and over. There was a demand for unique, high-energy event experiences, especially for schools, communities, and larger gatherings that wasn’t just the usual bounce house offering.
I came across foam parties and saw the potential right away. It was something different, something that could scale, and something that created an instant reaction from people. I decided to go all in, invest in the right equipment, and build it the same way I approach my web business; professional, reliable, and focused on long-term growth.
In the beginning, it was a lot of trial and error. Figuring out setups, dialing in the experience, learning what worked and what didn’t. But once we started getting in front of the right audiences, things picked up quickly. Schools, churches, HOAs, and community events became a big part of our growth.
From there, it’s been about refining and expanding. Adding services like glow-in-the-dark foam, bubble parties, and snow events, improving our systems, and focusing more on larger events and partnerships.
Where we are now is the result of staying consistent, reinvesting into the business, and always looking for ways to improve the experience we provide.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It definitely hasn’t been a completely smooth road. The parts of the business I’m familiar with, like marketing, building the brand, and getting in front of the right people, have come pretty naturally. But the actual events are a different story.
Every event is a little different. Different locations, different setups, different expectations. A big part of the job ends up being troubleshooting in real time. Whether it’s adjusting for space, timing, weather, or something unexpected, you have to be able to adapt quickly and keep things running smoothly.
There’s also been a learning curve with equipment, logistics, and scaling. As you grow and take on larger events, there’s more on the line and less room for error. You figure things out as you go, and sometimes that comes from learning the hard way.
But that’s also what’s helped us improve. Every challenge has pushed us to tighten up our systems, be more prepared, and deliver a better experience the next time.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Hilltop Foam Parties?
Hilltop Foam Parties is an event entertainment company based in Middle Tennessee, specializing in foam parties, glow-in-the-dark foam events, bubble experiences, and snow effects. We primarily work with schools, cities, universities, churches, and large community events, but we also serve private parties as well.
What we’re known for is delivering a high-energy experience that’s organized, professional, and easy for our clients. A lot of this industry can feel pretty casual, but we’ve focused on doing things differently. Clear communication, reliable scheduling, quality equipment, and showing up prepared every time. That consistency has been a big part of our growth.
We also put a lot of emphasis on the actual experience itself. We don’t cut corners on equipment or materials, and we’re intentional about how everything is set up and run so it looks great and keeps people engaged. Whether it’s a daytime foam party or a full glow event at night, the goal is always the same. Create something that people remember.
What I’m most proud of from a brand standpoint is how we’ve been able to build trust quickly. We’ve worked with schools, universities, and large organizations that rely on us to deliver, and we’ve been able to do that consistently. That’s what’s allowed us to grow and start focusing more on larger events and partnerships.
At the end of the day, we’re a fun business, but we take it seriously. We want people to know that when they book with us, they’re getting more than just a service. They’re getting a team that cares about doing it right.
Are there any important lessons you’ve learned that you can share with us?
The biggest lesson I’ve learned is that consistency really is everything.
Most people aren’t willing to keep doing the work day in and day out when they’re not seeing results yet. It’s easy to get excited in the beginning, but staying committed when things are slow or uncertain is what actually separates people.
A lot of growth happens in the background before it ever shows up on the surface. The outreach, the improvements, the small wins that don’t feel like much at the time. Over time, it all compounds.
If you stay consistent, keep improving, and don’t quit early, you put yourself in a position where things eventually start to click.
