Today we’d like to introduce you to Tim Hartman.
Hi Tim, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
In a slightly biased opinion, my own..I think my start out story is pretty funny, and definitely unique. So lets back up, summer of 2025, a prior friend gave me a camera, my first camera. A trusty canon Rebel T7, kit lens included, bag, and various other accessories I knew nothing about. The trusty rebel transferred from his closet to mine.
It’s now November 2025, here I am newly single, and ready to explore my online dating options. I quickly remember my trusty T7, November 16, 2025 I shot my first frame on a “Big Camera”, the rebel T7. From there, I dove head first into the YouTube learning academy. I was observing, learning, and applying all this new knowledge, and was just getting more obsessed. I soon discovered that a 50 mm Prime was going to solve the world’s problems for me. While upgrading lenses definitely helped; I still didn’t see the results I was expecting and looking for.
This brings us to present day. High value in client experience, Upgraded camera body, vastly improved composition skills, better understanding of light, and still hungry to learn. Over time, with a bit of trial and error, I’ve developed unique cinematic signature style. I wanted my images to make a statement and tell a story all in one.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
No, this definitely hasn’t been a smooth journey. Being creative doesn’t come naturally to me.
While being creative isn’t a Natural thought process in my baseline thought process. I have found an extreme passion in leaning into the creative side of life!
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
Firstly, I’m a photographer, specializing in portrait photography. I would say that I am most commonly known for my high quality client experience. I want a session with me to be that, an experience. I want my clients to have to do minimal thinking throughout my process. It’s my responsibility to ensure all key elements surrounding shoot day are handled.
I am most proud of the level of work I have been able to put out in such a short amount of time. This is something I had no idea I was good at, I’ve been fueled by nothing more than passion and determination.
I truly feel like my clients experience from initial contact to final delivery, paired with high quality work. That’s what I feel like sets me apart.
Networking and finding a mentor can have such a positive impact on one’s life and career. Any advice?
This is currently something I’m working on at the moment. My best advice is to find someone truly living the lifestyle that you want, their information makes sense to you, and they care more about quality information vs you buying their course.
