Check Out Melanie Waldman’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Melanie Waldman.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
My life was radically restored by God more than a decade ago. Today, my husband Scott and I travel the world to tell what God has done. I’ve been blessed to write with some amazing songwriters here in Nashville and we weave the songs into my testimony in a program we call, “Stories & Songs.”
Our mission is to help awaken the Church to the reality that God is actively restoring His Kingdom here on earth and to diligently participate in that work.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
After authoring “Look What Love Has Done” a short book form of my testimony and releasing two studio albums, we decided to go on the road to “Go and tell” what God has done. Making this transition took a lot more work than expected…from preparations for the live performance aspects and all of the technology required to booking and travel planning. We learned how to bring people into what we were doing as needed and God has provided the right people at the right time for us to be able to grow. It’s really been amazing. Nashville is full of skilled people who want to help.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
Our ministry includes teaching songwriting, leading spiritual care programs and leading worship programs – but the center of it all is my testimony of how God radically restored my life. Right now, we are in New Hampshire heading south to bring “Stories & Songs” to a church in Laconia, NH. We did the same last night in Lancaster, NH. This week also marks the conclusion of the spring session of Replacing the Lies – which is an online spiritual care program God led me to develop.
My heart is to see others walking in the freedom only available in Christ. God is amazing…I recently travelled to Delhi India to teach worship songwriting and was invited to share my testimony to two churches in Delhi on Easter Sunday! All of this is a gift from God who brought us back to himself through Christ and He has given us this task of reconciling others to Himself (2 Corinthians 5:17)

Before we go, is there anything else you can share with us?
I give all the Glory to God.

I waited patiently for the Lord to help me,
and he turned to me and heard my cry. He lifted me out of the pit of despair,
out of the mud and the mire. He set my feet on solid ground and steadied me as I walked along.
He has given me a new song to sing, a hymn of praise to our God. Many will see what he has done and be amazed.
They will put their trust in the Lord. Psalm 40:1-3
