Meet Kimberly Coleman of Services By Kim

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kimberly Coleman.

Hi Kimberly, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I started Services By Kim from a genuine passion for helping women feel seen, supported, and restored — physically, emotionally, and spiritually. I’m a Licensed Massage Therapist, Doula, and Health Coach with a background in Exercise Science, and over the years I noticed that so many women were carrying stress, chronic pain, burnout, and the pressure to constantly “do it all.”

What began as massage therapy grew into a holistic wellness brand focused on supporting women through every season of life — from pregnancy and postpartum care to nervous system support, chronic pain relief, and overall wellness. Today, Services By Kim offers therapeutic massage, prenatal massage, doula support, health coaching, and continuing education for birth and wellness professionals.

One of the biggest milestones recently has been expanding into Franklin, Tennessee with a new wellness suite inside MySalon Suites. Franklin has such a strong community of women and families who value holistic care, and I’m excited to continue growing there while still serving clients in Mount Juliet and surrounding Middle Tennessee areas.

My mission has always been bigger than simply providing a service. I want women to feel safe enough to slow down, breathe, heal, and prioritize themselves again. Every part of the business — from the atmosphere to the education and products we create — is centered around helping women move from survival mode into a healthier, more balanced life.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It definitely hasn’t been a completely smooth road. Like many small business owners, one of the biggest challenges has been balancing passion with sustainability. In wellness and service-based industries, it’s easy to pour everything into caring for others while neglecting your own rest and boundaries. Learning how to grow a business without burning out has been a major part of my journey.

Another challenge has been building a business that offers more than “luxury” wellness services and helping people understand the therapeutic and restorative value of massage therapy, prenatal care, and holistic wellness support. Educating clients on the importance of nervous system regulation, chronic pain management, and preventative self-care has taken consistency and time.

Expanding into Franklin, Tennessee has also come with challenges that many growing small businesses face — investing into a second location, building visibility in a new area, improving SEO and online presence, and earning trust within a new community. But those challenges have pushed me to grow both personally and professionally.

At the end of the day, every obstacle has strengthened my mission and reminded me why I started. Seeing clients leave feeling lighter, supported, and cared for makes the hard seasons worth it.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
Services By Kim is a holistic wellness brand serving women and families throughout Middle Tennessee, with locations in Mount Juliet and Franklin, TN. We specialize in therapeutic massage, prenatal massage, doula support, postpartum care, holistic health coaching, and wellness education designed to help women slow down, heal, and reconnect with themselves.

What sets us apart is the heart behind the work. Our approach is not just about relaxation — it’s about supporting the nervous system, reducing chronic stress and pain, and creating a safe space where women feel genuinely cared for. Many of our clients are busy professionals, mothers, or women navigating burnout, pregnancy, chronic tension, or major life transitions.

We’re especially known for prenatal massage and birth support, blending therapeutic touch with compassionate, personalized care. Through our Birthwork Through Touch program, we also provide continuing education and training for massage therapists and birth workers who want to better support pregnant and postpartum clients.

One thing I’m most proud of is building a business that feels both professional and deeply personal. From the environment we create to the products we offer through our Serenity Boutique and faith-inspired Neriah Candle Collection, every detail is intentional and centered around wellness, peace, and restoration.

As we continue expanding into Franklin, Tennessee, our goal is to help more women prioritize self-care not as a luxury, but as an essential part of living a healthy and balanced life.

Alright so before we go can you talk to us a bit about how people can work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
People can support Services By Kim by booking services, sharing their experiences through reviews, referring friends and family, and simply helping spread awareness about the importance of holistic wellness and maternal support. We love building genuine relationships within the community and collaborating with other professionals who are passionate about women’s health and wellness.

We’re always open to collaborating with local businesses, birth professionals, wellness providers, and healthcare teams throughout Middle Tennessee. We especially enjoy partnering with doulas, midwives, chiropractors, pelvic floor therapists, photographers, and women-centered brands that align with our mission of supporting women through pregnancy, postpartum, healing, and everyday wellness.

Over the years, we’ve also had the opportunity to support and serve families connected to hospitals and healthcare systems such as Vanderbilt, Ascension Saint Thomas, and Nashville Doula Services, while also building relationships within the homebirth community alongside practices like Haven Midwifery and Music City Midwifery.

As we continue growing our Franklin and Mount Juliet locations, we hope to keep creating a strong network of collaboration between wellness professionals and the families we serve.
