Check Out Rachael Mann’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Rachael Mann.

Hi Rachael , thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
My journey in music began in Alabama, where I started singing at the age of seven. I grew up singing in church, school plays, and local events, and music quickly became a huge part of my life. One of my earliest memories was singing my first church solo at just 10 years old — “Somebody Love Me” by Michael W. Smith. I was incredibly nervous, but it’s amazing to look back now and realize that years later I would have the opportunity to sing on Michael W. Smith’s Hymns album, which was sold in Cracker Barrel stores across the country.

At 17, I began recording my first album and started pursuing music more seriously. Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to open for artists such as Jars of Clay and Salvador, as well as sing background vocals with Carrie Underwood at the CMT Music Awards at Bridgestone Arena. I’ve also been blessed to appear on television programs including Atlanta & Company and Atlanta Live.

One of the things I enjoy most is performing the National Anthem. It has been such an honor to sing for organizations including the Atlanta Braves, Birmingham Stallions, Savannah Bananas, Nashville Sounds, and Kansas City Royals, among others.

I’m incredibly thankful for the journey God has allowed me to have so far, and I’m excited to continue growing, creating music, and seeing what opportunities lie ahead.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
There have definitely been more rewarding moments than difficult ones, and I’m incredibly thankful for the opportunities I’ve had throughout my journey. However, it has not always been a smooth road. There have been moments where I felt discouraged and questioned whether I should continue pursuing music at all. Like many artists, I’ve experienced disappointments when things didn’t work out the way I had hoped or envisioned.

Looking back now, though, I can honestly say those moments taught me some of the greatest lessons. I truly believe that sometimes when a door doesn’t open, it’s because God is protecting us and guiding us toward something better. Even in the seasons where I didn’t understand the “why,” everything eventually made sense in the bigger picture.

Every step of this journey — the highs and the lows — has helped shape who I am, both personally and professionally. Through it all, my faith has remained the foundation that keeps me going. More now than ever, I believe music is a calling God has placed on my life, and I’m grateful for every lesson, opportunity, and person I’ve met along the way.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I’m a singer, songwriter, and artist who has always had a passion for music and creativity. In addition to performing and writing music, I’m also an actress and have been involved in various acting opportunities over the years, including commercials and stand-in roles for television and film productions.

Music has been a major part of my life from a very young age. I began writing songs early on and have continued developing my craft through recording, performing, and releasing original music online. I currently have several songs available on streaming platforms and love creating music that encourages and connects with people.

I’ve also had the opportunity to sing on commercial jingles for different companies and organizations, including Williamson Medical Center in the Nashville, Tennessee area. Whether it’s performing live, writing songs, recording in the studio, or working on creative projects in entertainment, I truly enjoy every aspect of the industry and feel blessed to do what I love

So maybe we end on discussing what matters most to you and why?
What matters most to me personally is my faith, my family, and the relationships I have with the people I love. God has always been the foundation of my life, and I truly feel blessed with so many wonderful people and opportunities surrounding me. Having a strong support system of family and friends means everything to me, and I never take that for granted.

From a music and acting perspective, what matters most is staying true to who I am and not changing myself to fit a certain mold or expectation. In the entertainment industry, there can sometimes be pressure to become what others want you to be, but I believe authenticity is one of the most important things a person can have. Staying true to yourself not only brings peace and fulfillment, but it also allows your work to come from a genuine place. At the end of the day, being authentic is what keeps me happiest and most satisfied with the work I create.
