Hi Miakia, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
For over 25 years, I dedicated my life to healthcare as a Certified Pharmacy Technician, serving others with compassion, care, and a genuine heart for helping people heal. Long before I stepped into the beauty industry, care giving was already woven into who I am.
In 2015, my life and purpose shifted in a way I could have never imagined. A close friend of mine was diagnosed with Breast Cancer, and God placed it on my heart to offer her a complimentary makeup makeover. I remember the moment vividly. After completing her glam, I followed her into the bathroom as she looked in the mirror. What I saw was more than makeup – I saw her spirit light up from the inside out. In that very moment, I knew this was bigger than beauty.
God placed a calling on my heart to use makeup artistry as a way to uplift, encourage, and restore confidence in women, especially those fighting cancer. That experience became the foundation of my purpose and the reason behind everything I do today.
Although the vision began years earlier, it was not until August 2022 that I decided to fully pursue makeup artistry with intention and faith. Then, in November 2023, I took the biggest leap of my life – I stepped away from my pharmacy career, submitted my two-week notice, and fully walked into my purpose without looking back.
As my journey continued to unfold, I founded The Pink Heart Warrior Glam in 2021, a heartfelt initiative dedicated to honoring women who are battling or have overcome cancer. Every October, I provide complimentary makeup services to these incredible women as a reminder that beauty, strength, and femininity still shine brightly through every season of life.
Breast Cancer Awareness holds a deeply personal place in my heart because it is the very reason my purpose was revealed to me. Through M.D.Beauti and The Pink Heart Warrior Glam, my mission is far greater than makeup – it is about creating moments of healing, confidence, self-love, and empowerment for women everywhere. I strive to remind every woman who sits in my chair that she is seen, valued, beautiful, and worthy, no matter what she may be facing.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The road to building my brand and walking fully in my purpose has not always been easy. Along the journey, I have faced many struggles, but one of the greatest challenges I had to overcome was my own mindset. I had to let go of “stinking thinking” and truly learn how to believe in myself.
There were moments when no one was applauding me, supporting the vision, or fully understanding the dream God placed on my heart. During those times, I had to remain grounded in my “why.” I realized that everyone will not see the vision the way I do – and that is perfectly okay. What mattered most was that I continued to believe in it.
I learned how to celebrate myself and acknowledge every accomplishment, big or small even when no one else did. I kept a firm hold on my mission, and that purpose became the catalyst that continues to push me forward today.
Life will always come with challenges, but I’ve learned that mindset is everything. The words we speak to ourselves carry power. I choose to speak faith, perseverance, and victory over my life daily. One phrase that has stayed with me throughout my journey is ; “Winners never quit, and quitters never win.” That mindset continues to fuel my determination, growth, and passion to keep going no matter the obstacles.

M.D.Beauti is a luxury beauty brand rooted in confidence, compassion, and empowerment. Specializing in soft glam, luxury makeup artistry, and beauty experiences designed to enhance natural beauty. M.D.Beauti focuses on creating timeless looks that allow every woman to feel radiant, confident, and seen. My artistry is not simply about applying makeup – it is about creating an experience where women feel uplifted from the inside out.
What I am most proud of is the opportunity God has given me to pour into so many different women from all walks of life. Whether preparing a client for a wedding, photo shoot, special event, or simply helping her rediscover her confidence, nothing compares to seeing a woman smile when she looks at herself and feels beautiful. Those moments are the true heart behind my work.
What sets me apart is the genuine care and purpose behind every appointment. My background in healthcare, combined with my passion for beauty, allows me to connect with women on a deeper level. I strive to create a safe, uplifting, and luxurious experience where every client feels valued, heard, and celebrated. Through M.D. Beauti, I do more than glam faces – I inspire confidence, encourage self-love, and remind women of their beauty, strength, and worth.
Who else deserves credit in your story?
Above all, I give all honor and glory to God, my Creator. Without Him, none of this would be possible. Every opportunity, every blessing, every lesson, and every door opened has been through His grace. He gave me the vision, the strength, the courage, and the purpose to walk this journey. I owe everything I am and everything I have to Him.
I also want to give heartfelt credit to the incredible women in my life who have fought Breast Cancer. Their strength, resilience, faith, and courage inspired me in ways words could never fully express. Watching them continue to smile, fight, and persevere through some of life’s hardest moments gave me strength of my own and became the inspiration behind my purpose and passion for uplifting women through makeup artistry.
I am deeply grateful for Corner To Corner for providing me with a strong foundation to build a business upon. The knowledge, encouragement, and resources I received helped me shape my entrepreneurial journey and gave me confidence to continue growing M.D.Beauti with purpose and vision.
I would also like to thank Boomin University for equipping me with valuable business tools and entrepreneurial guidance that have helped me grow not only as a business owner, but as a woman pursuing her purpose fearlessly.

I would especially like to thank my mother, children, and family who have been my greatest supporters throughout this journey.
