Today we’d like to introduce you to Madeline Mota.
Hi Madeline, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I was born and raised in Middle Tennessee and graduated from the University of Tennessee with a bachelor’s degree in sociology, concentrating in criminology and criminal justice. After college, I spent five years as an intelligence analyst with the Wilson County Sheriff’s Office, where I developed strong communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills. During my last few months there, I started selling real estate part time and quickly realized I loved helping people through major life decisions. After having my second child, I decided not to return to law enforcement and instead focused fully on real estate. Since then, I’ve been helping families buy and sell homes, and I’ve really enjoyed building relationships and guiding clients through the process.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
For the most part, yes, but like any career there have definitely been challenges along the way. I have six children, so balancing schedules, school, sports, and extracurricular activities while building a real estate career has required a lot of flexibility and organization. One of the reasons real estate has been such a good fit for me is because it allows me to be present for my family during this season of life. Most days, and even during some showings and closings, I’ll have at least a couple of my kids with me. It’s taught me how to adapt quickly, multitask, and stay calm under pressure, which actually translates really well into working in this career field!
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m a real estate agent, and while I don’t specialize in one specific niche, most of my business comes from referrals from past clients, friends, and family. That’s something I’m really proud of because it means people trust me enough to recommend me to the people they care about most.
What I’m known for is building genuine relationships and bringing excitement and encouragement to the buying and selling process. I love helping make homeownership feel attainable and exciting for people, especially during such a major milestone in their lives. Over the years, many of my clients have become lifelong friends, and that’s probably the most rewarding part of what I do.
I think what sets me apart is that I truly care about the people behind the transaction. I want clients to feel supported, informed, and comfortable throughout the entire process, and I work hard to make what can sometimes feel stressful into a positive experience.
Are there any important lessons you’ve learned that you can share with us?
Most important thing I’ve learned in my real estate journey- relationships are the real currency. The deals come and go, but the connections you build with people are what truly create long-term success. Every conversation, every client, and every referral started with trust. Real estate taught me that when you genuinely care about people, the business will follow.
