Hi lailah, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Fact. I didn’t go to college for a Design degree, I didn’t even finish High School, my home life was…let’s just say, a bit chaotic. (That’s a story for another day). I’ve always been creative, making anything out of nothing.
My passion for interior design didn’t begin with trends or portfolios — it began at home.
As a mother of three, I’ve experienced firsthand how deeply our surroundings shape our daily lives. From raising my daughter into adulthood to navigating the joyful chaos of twin boys and a house that always has something happening, I’ve learned that home isn’t about perfection — it’s about intention.
I’ve always been the one rearranging furniture, hosting gatherings, creating warm spaces where people feel comfortable and welcomed. I love entertaining friends and family, filling the house with laughter, and creating environments where connection happens naturally. Those moments — around a kitchen island, at a dining table, or during a slow Sunday afternoon — are what made me realize how powerful design truly is.
I started this business because I believe every family deserves a home that supports their lifestyle, reflects who they are, and feels both beautiful and functional. A home that works hard behind the scenes but feels effortless on the surface.
Design, for me, is personal. It’s about creating spaces that feel lived in, loved, and lasting…safe.
And there is nothing more fulfilling than helping someone walk into their home and feel, “This is exactly where I’m meant to be.”
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Well like I said, no schooling. No one teaching me the right and wrongs in Design. But Design isn’t about materials and just looks. It’s about the way it makes you feel. I learn everyday. From personal experiences, etc. I’ve taught myself how to doo everything that I know, whether that be from reading books, digging into why people love trends so much, the way certain colors make you feel, and how to pull it all together. Most people won’t pay you much of nothing without a Degree and I don’t want to have a boss so hey, struggle or not, I think I’ll work for myself. 🙂

Readers should know that just because my personal style may be one way, that does’nt mean I’m going to convince you that needs to be your style too. I can adapt t any style, any material, because I’m here to deliver what my client needs and wants, not push something else like most Designers. They push their comfort zone. I like to be taken out of mine!

Do you have any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
Any and everything with my daddy. I lost him at the age of 7 due to a stroke/brain aneurism. He was a General Contractor, he would always bring home bugs and animals he found on job sites. I’d like to think we would work together today if he were still here.
