Today we’d like to introduce you to Jasmine Lopez.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
In my first year of acting, I started receiving DMs from other actors asking for advice, and eventually it hit me: there’s a business here. I started one-on-one coaching, then created a separate account to build my online presence. I was posting, and quickly realized I had no idea what I was doing, so I made a decision that changed everything; I invested $3K in Creator College. Within a month, I wasn’t just learning what to post and how to post; I started building a lead magnet, learning how to create a digital product, and implementing winning strategies. My confidence went up, my rates went up, and here’s the part that still surprises me: the higher I charged, the faster clients said yes.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Honestly, no. It hasn’t been a smooth road at all. Two of my biggest struggles were fear of what people would think and not having anyone to learn from.
I didn’t want my friends or anyone around me to know about my business. I’d already dealt with enough ridicule and bullying; I wasn’t looking for more. Even after I created my account, I kept it quiet. I had 200 followers, mostly people I knew, and I left it there. After attending Creator College, my confidence shifted, and my views have soared. Now I’m gaining followers every day.
The other struggle was finding a mentor. I spent hours on YouTube and Instagram trying to figure out who was actually worth listening to. But I worked through it, and now I have a clear plan, and I know exactly where I’m headed.
Being a business owner is not my strongest suit. But I’m really proud of how far I’ve come.
As you know, we’re big fans of The Actors Consultant . For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
I’m an actors consultant — I work specifically with actors 18 and older across the US to help them understand the business side of a highly competitive industry and treat their career like the business it actually is. Winning strategies, setting strong goals, navigating the industry — that’s my lane.
What makes my content different is simple: I haven’t found anyone else operating at this level. While most creators primarily focus on the craft and only sprinkle in business advice, I flip the script talking exclusively about the business. Even when the business side is discussed elsewhere, it’s usually from the perspective of a manager or casting director. I speak as an actor, someone in the trenches, living it, which creates a completely different conversation. My focus is the business, from start to finish.
Right now I offer one-on-one coaching where everything is tailored to you — your goals, your timeline, your career. No generic advice. I’m also working on a free course that I can’t wait to share.
What I want readers to know is simple: there’s a side of this industry nobody is really talking about — and that’s exactly where I live.
Can you talk to us a bit about the role of luck?
Honestly, luck hasn’t played a role in my life or in my business. I pray first, and I trust God. Every decision, every idea I was unsure about, I brought to Him. There were moments I thought something wouldn’t work out, and it did, because I received a yes. And there were times I received a no, and looking back now, that was the answer I needed. I live by what the Bible teaches, and that’s the foundation on which everything I build stands.
