Meet Jordan Zeller of Nashville

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jordan Zeller.

Hi Jordan, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
From a young age, I have always loved preserving meaningful moments and turning memories into something tangible. I never wanted to forget the little details — like my newborn’s squishy face and sweet smile, or the way love shines through the eyes of a newly married couple. My photography journey began 11 years ago when my mother-in-law handed me a camera to practice with. My family graciously became my first “models,” and before long, close friends were stepping in front of my lens as I learned lighting, posing, and the art of storytelling through photography. I am completely self-taught, spending countless hours learning through YouTube videos and studying from other photographers like Katelyn James and Amy and Jordan. I loved their light and airy, and timeless feeling that shined through their photographs. Through many prayers, trials and errors, tears, and expensive mistakes, God has grown this business into one that thrives on capturing joy for families, seniors, and couples on their wedding day. As a Christian business owner, I give all glory to my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, who has given me strength and wisdom more times than I can count. I pray that every client I serve experiences the love of Jesus through the way I care for them, speak to them, and capture their story through my photographs.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Has it always been a smooth road? Absolutely not. Nothing worth pursuing comes easy or without struggles, and my photography journey has certainly reflected that. I have struggled with doubting my work, constantly asking for a second set of eyes to make sure my lighting and colors looked right, and battling imposter syndrome more times than I can count. There have been plenty of mistakes, challenges, and moments where I questioned myself. But seeing the joy in a family’s gallery, or watching a bride and groom tear up as they relive their wedding day through their photos, makes every fear and doubt grow quiet for a moment. I would also be remiss not to mention my husband, who has supported me through every mistake and every season of uncertainty. He has been my biggest cheerleader, constantly encouraging me when I doubted myself and reminding me to keep going.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am a lover of genuine emotion and meaningful connection. My goal as a photographer is to capture the candid, joy-filled moments that naturally unfold throughout your day — the moments I often call “Jesus moments.” These are the quiet, beautiful interactions that can never truly be posed: the gentle hand touches, soft smiles, tears welling up in someone’s eyes, hugs that linger a little longer, the love shining through a grandparent’s eyes, or the pure joy in a child’s smile. I am constantly searching for those fleeting moments where emotion and light come together in a beautiful way. Light plays such an important role in my work because it creates a warmth and glow that helps tell the story of a moment. More than anything, my goal is to create images that transport you right back to that exact feeling every time you look at them. What I am most proud of is creating a photography experience where people feel seen, cared for, and comfortable enough to simply be themselves.

Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
What makes me happiest is my family and my faith. I walked through difficult seasons as a child, often longing to feel truly seen, loved, and valued. Because of that, becoming a wife to my best friend and a mother to my two boys has completely changed my life. I make it my mission every single day to ensure they always feel deeply loved, cherished, and known. My family means so much to me because I understand what it feels like to go without those things, and I never want the people I love to question their worth.

My faith is the foundation of who I am and how I love others. Jesus carried me through some of the hardest and loneliest parts of my childhood, and His love healed places in my heart I never thought could be restored. Because He first loved me, I am able to love others well. My relationship with Christ has given me compassion, perspective, and the ability to see people through a lens of grace and empathy, which deeply influences both my life and my photography.
