Today we’d like to introduce you to Naiah Collier.
Hi Naiah, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I started as an expressionism artist in 2022 when I was 19 years old. At the time, I was struggling with identity, purpose, religion, and the loss of my aunt. I needed an outlet, and painting became that for me. My artwork reflected everything I was trying to process internally; grief, healing, confusion, growth, and self-discovery.
In 2024, after having my baby and being laid off from my job as a pediatric dental assistant due to depression from postpartum preeclampsia, my fiancé started his own construction company & I realized I didn’t want to return to working full-time in that field. During that season of my life, I started creating logos, business cards, and websites for small businesses as a way to make money while being home with my child.
What started as a hobby slowly became another creative passion. I discovered that I genuinely love organizing what other people see as chaos, whether that’s visually, creatively, or strategically. That mindset led me to found J. Creative Studio, where I began creating brand identities, websites, and creative direction for startups, small businesses, and foundations.
Since then, I’ve created over 20 websites and helped more than 95 businesses with branding, design, and strategy. While branding and web design became my primary business, my ultimate goal has always been to merge both sides of who I am: being a full-time branding strategist website designer.
At the beginning of 2026, I rebranded my studio to One Wild Flwr Studio. The name represents growing in unexpected places while staying fully authentic and creative. Everything I create is surrounded in that idea. Building with honesty, emotion, peace, and creativity.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. One of my biggest struggles has been dealing with imposter syndrome. Constantly feeling like I’m not doing “good enough” or questioning whether I belong in creative spaces. Even though I’ve earned certifications, awards, and built real client experience, I sometimes worried that other designers wouldn’t take me seriously because I don’t come from a traditional design background.
I’ve also struggled with burnout while balancing motherhood, being a relationship partner, creativity, and running a business. But having a strong vision and purpose has kept me going. I know I’m building something meaningful, and that motivation continues to push me forward even during difficult seasons. This is for my child, his children and so on.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
At One Wild Flwr Studio, I create brand identities, websites, and creative direction for businesses, startups, and foundations. I specialize in blending creativity with professionalism through business strategy and website design. My goal is always to create brands that not only look beautiful, but also genuinely feel like the person behind them.
What I’m most proud of is the connections I’ve built with people over the past year. I’ve been able to work with clients locally as well as across the U.S. and Canada, which is so cool to me. But more than anything, I value the relationships that come from the work.
What sets me apart is my ability to communicate and bring someone’s personality into their brand. Even with industries people may see as “boring,” like finance or corporate businesses, I love finding ways to bring creativity, warmth, and professionalism together in a way that feels authentic to them. I genuinely enjoy getting to know people beyond the project itself.
I call all of my clients my “Wildflwrs,” because I believe every person and business grows differently. Some of my clients have even become real friends, we check in on each other and talk about personal things, as well as one that I am in a book club with, which is pretty cool. That sense of connection and community is something I truly value and want my brand to always represent.
Do you have any advice for those just starting out?
My advice would be to find connection within yourself first. We live in a world full of distractions and constant comparison, so it’s important to stay centered and grounded in who you are. You don’t have to do what everyone else is doing or have what the next person has in order to succeed.
I also believe in treating people the way you would want to be treated and remembering that every person has a story you may know nothing about. Genuine connection will take you further than trying to impress people.
One thing I wish I knew when I was starting out is that not everything is a race. I used to feel like I had to move fast to succeed, but when you move too quickly, you miss things. opportunities, lessons, relationships, and even moments to enjoy the process. Slowing down has helped me create more intentionally and live more peacefully.
