Today we’d like to introduce you to Violette Adams.
Hi Violette, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Hi! My name is Violette Adams, or known as StudioxViolette. I am a local photographer, singer, actor and model. I started photography very young and only started taking it seriously about 2 years ago. I view artists and creatives as the foundation of all things magical in this world. My family is the some of the most supportive people in the world so they have let me practice photos on them many many times. I noticed I have a different eye than other people. I noticed beauty in things people often look past. I decided I couldn’t let that go to waste! I started taking photos outside with my friends which quickly developed into creating my own studio and taking photos leaning towards fashion. I love the look on their faces when they realize they’re beautiful. Calling my “job” making people feel beautiful is the best job I could ever ask for. I’m excited to see where I go in the next few years. But I definitely have my eye on fashion photography.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I, like all photographers have found myself in some difficult situations. Like a corrupt SD card, camera malfunctions, lens breakage. But I do believe I’ve handled them to my best ability. I still have so much to learn but that’s just a part of life! If you’re not challenged you’re not learning.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’ve definitely been told I have an eye for fashion photography. I love editorial work and seeing raw emotions through a lens. Taking my time to edit every photo how I see it is one of the most beautiful parts. I capture the details you might not see but you will admire about yourself. I provide a safe, fun, professional environment for all my lovely clients. I’d like to think I’m known for attention to detail, clear, raw, photos. I’m most proud of my persistence to learn. I decided this year I was going to learn studio photography. And two months later I had a studio and 9 girls in my basement ready for their shoot. The photos came out incredible! I am a woman and I think it’s important to increase women in male dominated fields. I have a safe environment for my clients to feel free to completely express themselves. No shade to men photographers. But I would love to see more women expressing themselves 🙂
How do you think about happiness?
The ultimate joy I have is from Jesus. He is the heart behind everything I do. I find happiness in people seeing their beauty. I also enjoy pink, matcha, passion, and expression!
