Daily Inspiration: Meet Madison Wolfe

Today we’d like to introduce you to Madison Wolfe.

Hi Madison, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I grew up in Wisconsin listening to my dad’s cover band practice in the basement through the kitchen floors! Music has always been such a huge part of my life. I sang and hummed before I talked and I wrote songs in the margins of my school notebooks. I’ve pretty much lived and breathed country music my whole life. I started taking guitar lessons with Milwaukee music legend Keith Pulvermacher that quickly turned into songwriting lessons. Every Tuesday at 5:30, my dad and I would drive 40 minutes each way for a 30 minute lesson, that’s how important they were to me. I wish I could tell him just how much he shaped me into the artist and songwriter I am today, but he died of cancer back in 2022… but I know that he’s looking down on me whispering “keep the music alive, kiddo!”

I went to Belmont and got a music business degree and haven’t looked back! I started putting out music, playing writers rounds, and building my team. Flash forward 6 years and I’m putting out my DEBUT EP!!

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Oh heck no! It’s been a bumpy road for sure but that’s life, right? If it’s easy I don’t want it. My battle with anxiety comes to mind as my biggest obstacle, as it really can become all consuming. I’m putting in the work to heal my mind, body, and soul with the help of Jesus, my family, great friends, and an amazing team.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’ve always been/ I’ll always be a songwriter at heart. It doesn’t matter if it’s writing for myself or other artists, I have just fallen in love with the storytelling aspect of creating music and that will always be something I do. I’m definitely a lyric focused writer and artist because of that. I’m most proud of my ability to be real, raw, relatable, and resilient in my writing. It’s so hard, especially with social media, to get an idea of how people ACTUALLY feel and so I try to be as real as I can because I know how damaging it can be to feel like you’re the only one going through something. I think what sets me apart from others is the fact that I’m not afraid to say/write about the hard things. That’s what shows people who you truly are and I have lived through so much that I wish I hadn’t gone through, and if I can help just one person through their rock bottom, then that’s a win in my book.

If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
I was LOUD as a kid! I was always singing, talking, making noise in some way.. I played hard and I made my self known! I was always being told in school to be quiet and to stop distracting people. I don’t know I just was born to entertain! I was always making up a new game to play or making up crazy stories with my toys.. just always creating something. And always singing!
