Today we’d like to introduce you to Mark Savedes.
Hi Mark, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Grew up with a heart for serving those in need . Thru the people who inspired me on my earthly journey from all walks of life, I knew I was designed to shine light on those who are the most forgotten in our world , from the homeless , to the elderly to those in hospitals , rehab centers or in deep poverty and declining health my life was built around reaching out to them so I began surrounding myself in there presence to help make a difference and becoming a life mentor to others was my calling.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Hadn’t always been a smooth road but I relied on my faith to help guide me when the path was not clear. Several years ago , I was in a very dangerous area of the South Africa townships and was all alone there with the mission to help the young children by implementing fitness activities and teaching hospitality education to them (I was warned not to go alone to that area as it was not safe ) but I just knew I would be ok amd out of harms way and felt Gods presence protecting me. As a result, I had one of the most rewarding experiences with the kids imaginable & they that experience it has shaped me to this day to continue to serve .
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I’m extremely proud of my relational skills and the gifts God wired me with to be a light to others in a dark world . I love learning about others life story and helping people reach their destiny thru sharing my experiences, encouraging people to love life and live it to the fullest and guiding them through the journey.
Coaching people is a gift that I was blessed to receive and having the reward of being able to share with others is one thing I thoroughly enjoy doing .
So maybe we end on discussing what matters most to you and why?
Being more interested than interesting in others . I love making people feel seen and heard . So often many people go thru life un noticed.
My technique is simple – by showing more interest in those I’m working with, I am able to create trust and understanding much faster and the client is able to share more of their story to me.
