Hi Tiara, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
My journey began as a little girl with dolls, dreams, and a love for creating beauty. What started as styling doll hair soon turned into practicing on myself and discovering a passion that would stay with me throughout my life. Along the way, life brought obstacles, setbacks, and lessons that slowed my progress at times, but they never stopped my vision. Today, I’m still building, growing, and working toward my goals. I may not be exactly where I want to be yet, but I know I’m on the right path, and the destination is closer than ever.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
My journey has been far from easy. I’ve experienced setbacks, depression, failed relationships, and even homelessness. There were times when giving up would have been easier, but each challenge strengthened my determination and shaped my character. I’ve learned that success isn’t built on a perfect path; t’s built on persistence through imperfect circumstances. Every obstacle has taught me something valuable, and while life has kept me humble, it has also prepared me for the opportunities ahead
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I wear many hats: I’m a mother of two, a braider, a travel agent, and an aspiring model and actress. I’m also passionate about helping entrepreneurs build their brands, and I’m currently working toward becoming a cosmetic scientist so I can create my own natural hair and skincare line.
The accomplishment I’m most proud of isn’t a title or achievement—it’s my refusal to give up on myself. I’ve learned not to let other people’s opinions dictate my path. If there’s something I want to pursue, I go for it. Even when things don’t work out exactly as planned, I gain knowledge, experience, and skills that help me succeed in the next opportunity.
What sets me apart is my belief that every setback has a purpose and every experience is part of the journey. I don’t see failure as failure—I see it as preparation for what’s next.
What does success mean to you?
To me, success is simply showing up for yourself every day—putting in the effort, staying committed to your goals, and continuing to grow, even when things are challenging.
