Rising Stars: Meet Stefan Solea of DC & Surrounding Areas

Today we’d like to introduce you to Stefan Solea.

Hi Stefan, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I am a lifelong artist, I see the creative process as more than an entrepreneurial pursuit, but a divine calling on my life.
I began playing the guitar at seven years old and basically started writing songs immediately. I went through a turbulent upbringing in West Baltimore, which led me on a spirit quest traveling around the world with creativity as my inner guiding compass. Eventually, I began studying meditation, qi gong and fitness as a way of controlling my emotions and perspective on life. I am committed to being a light in this world and sharing my story to inspire others to find a way out of darkness.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I grew up in an extremely dysfunctional family and became an addict at a very young age. When most kids were getting ready to go to high school I was learning how to self-destruct in a trap house. Now I see it as a blessing because I learned early on how to overcome these obstacles in life and I gained much wisdom and strength by learning how to overcome these negative forces.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am a recording artist, music producer, and Film Maker. I also write books and I’m quite a prolific creator of original material. I own a recording studio near Washington DC called WeAid Music and I offer free studio time to divinely inspired artist in need.

Networking and finding a mentor can have such a positive impact on one’s life and career. Any advice?
In a time where all the information you could ever need is easily available online the trick is really deciding who you choose to listen to because there is a lot of misleading information out there. The reality is no two paths are the same and what works for one person may not work for another, but I believe all success starts on the inside and conditioning your mind, body and spirit is the key to harmony and balance.
I would suggest adopting daily disciplines through meditation, fitness and reading to develop a strong core value system fundamental in developing a successful life sustainable for wellness.
