Today we’d like to introduce you to Courtney Boucher.
Hi Courtney, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I discovered my love for fitness through dance back in Mississippi, where I first began teaching dance fitness. That initial step led me to pursue personal training certifications when I moved to Colorado’s vibrant fitness scene. After years of growth across gyms and studios, I now coach in Tennessee, holding multiple certifications. My philosophy is “fitness for life.” I empower clients to surpass their perceived limits, focusing on mindset, discipline, and sustainable habits—because fitness is about consistency, not perfection.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Throughout my journey, I’ve faced my share of challenges. I’ve worked through personal injuries, learning firsthand how important resilience is. When COVID hit, I had to pivot from in-person training to virtual platforms—a shift that not only kept my business going but ultimately became a lasting part of what I do. On top of that, raising four children while maintaining my fitness career has taught me a lot about balance, adaptability, and staying true to my purpose—proving that with flexibility and perseverance, you can move through life’s struggles and still thrive.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
My specialties center on behavioral change, functional fitness, and building community. I’m a certified behavioral change specialist, nutrition coach, and personal trainer, and I love group training for the camaraderie it creates. What sets me apart is the variety I bring—I train across multiple modalities, believing each contributes to overall fitness. I primarily work with women, guiding them through life stages, focusing on stability, mobility, strength, and longevity. Above all, I keep it positive and fun—because when fitness is fun, people stick with it!
How do you think about happiness?
Movement truly makes me happy—not only for the physical benefits like endorphins, but because it feels like a privilege to move my body freely. Outside fitness, my greatest joy is adventuring with my children, watching them experience things for the first time. I’m happiest outdoors—hiking, swimming, kayaking—and I thrive on creativity, whether it’s cooking, dancing, or even rearranging my home. Being in that creative flow sparks joy in every aspect of my life.
