Today we’d like to introduce you to Preston Bearden.
Hi Preston, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I started dropping music as Otlo in 2023 while attending a school in murfreesboro for audio production. I wouldn’t say I was always drawn to music as much as I am now, but at this point my life revolves around it. I went on tour after my graduation in 2025 and things have really started to ramp up since then.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I would say it’s a struggle, being a musician in a over saturated digital market has its challenges. Finding out to stand out is important, and then avoiding burnout due to the constant grind has been hard.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I create music in my bedroom. I would say I specialize in indie bedroom pop, using my experience to create good mixes. I used to be known for wearing a yellow polo, but I’ve started adding more outfits into the mix. I would say I’m most proud of my albums, I really enjoy putting together cohesive projects. I think what sets me apart is my focus on branding, consistency, and making the kind of music I do in Tennessee

I would say I always love getting help with multimedia content, as well as anything that gets my music to more people. So anyone in media and anyone with a camera. If you want to support me as a fan of my music, come out to my shows, I love performing!
