My journey into the beauty industry began during COVID, when I started doing hair under the name The Loc Assassin. At the time, I had no idea that something I simply enjoyed doing would eventually grow into a true passion, a business, and a major part of my purpose.
As my skills grew, so did my vision. I began working with different hair types and textures, expanding beyond locs and realizing that I wanted my brand to reflect everything I was becoming as a beauty professional. In 2025, I made the decision to rebrand from The Loc Assassin to Jae Luxe Kreations, marking a new chapter in my journey and representing my growth beyond being known for just one specialty.
Along the way, I balanced working full-time, attending cosmetology school, building my business, and serving my clients. It wasn’t always easy, but every challenge taught me discipline, resilience, and the importance of continuing to show up for the vision I had for myself.
Today, Jae Luxe Kreations represents how far I’ve come and everything I’m still becoming. My journey has grown beyond simply doing hair—it’s about education, healthy hair, confidence, creativity, and making a meaningful impact on the people I serve. I’m proud of the foundation I’ve built, but I also know this is only the beginning of what I plan to create
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. I’ve had to balance working full-time, going to cosmetology school, and building my business all at the same time. There were days when I was exhausted and questioned if I could keep everything going, but giving up was never an option. I’ve also learned that building a business takes patience and consistency. There are slow seasons, unexpected setbacks, and moments that test your confidence, but I’ve learned to trust the process, stay committed, and keep growing. Looking back, every challenge has made me stronger and has shaped not only the stylist I am but also the woman I’m becoming.

Jae Luxe Kreations is a beauty brand centered around healthy hair, education, versatility, and creating an elevated experience for every client who sits in my chair. I specialize in loc care, natural hair, silk presses, relaxers, precision cuts, creative color, and healthy-hair maintenance. While I originally became known for my work with locs, my brand has grown to represent the full range of my creativity, knowledge, and skills as a beauty professional.
What sets me apart is that I don’t believe hair should simply look good when a client leaves the salon—I care about the health and integrity of the hair underneath the style. I take the time to understand each client’s hair, lifestyle, concerns, and goals because no two heads of hair are the same. Education is also a major part of my brand. I want my clients to understand their hair, know why I’m recommending certain services or products, and feel confident caring for their hair between appointments.
Brand-wise, I’m most proud of my growth and evolution. I’ve allowed myself and my business to grow beyond one specialty without losing the foundation that helped me get started. Jae Luxe Kreations represents versatility, creativity, continued education, and my commitment to becoming better at my craft. I’m especially proud of the trust I’ve built with my clients and the real results we’ve been able to achieve together, whether that’s healthier locs, length retention, a bold color transformation, or helping someone regain confidence in their hair.
