Today we’d like to introduce you to Pull From The Jar.
Hi Pull , we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Every great idea has a messy beginning.
Right after the pandemic, four guys had a lot to say and nowhere to say it. We tossed around idea after idea — a rotating cast of 8, maybe 10 people, doing it live, going big right out the gate. None of it felt right. Too complicated. Too much.
Then one night at Avery’s house, something clicked.
What if we kept it simple? Just us — Avery, Ryan, Jordan (Two3s), and Cuzin Wayne — sitting around, pulling topics and going in. No filter. No script. Just real opinions on real things happening in the real world.
The jar was the final piece. Think about it — the world is overflowing with things worth talking about. News, sports, entertainment, pop culture, social media — it never stops. So we put it all in a jar. Every week, we pull from it. Whoever pulls, leads. And from there? The conversation takes over.
That’s Pull From The Jar. Four different perspectives, one table, zero holding back. We don’t just talk about what’s going on — we break it down, clown on it, debate it, and give you takes you weren’t ready for.
The world is wild. We just help you make sense of it — and laugh while doing it.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
For sure! A lot of different obstacles and various circumstances had to be considered, that we worked through from the beginning. The very 1st decision like the location of recording, was a big factor because we all live in different parts of Nashville. Getting down a set schedule to record, such as the specific day and time was a vital piece of our foundation starting. Other factors such as the specific roles we would take on and coming up with unique segments that are specifically catered to our individual strengths. And of all the many ones, the most important challenge we faced was LEARNING TO PODCAST. We had to learn the hard way that podcasting is more than just turning on some microphones and just talking; it’s about subject matter, target audience, CHEMISTRY, flow, and of course the enjoyment of doing it.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
Pull From The Jar Podcast are Four guys Avery, Ryan, Jordan (Two3s), and Cuzin Wayne — specializing in covering weekly news/everyday conversations. We are known for a jar full of topics, a table full of opinions, and zero filter. As a podcast we have gained quite a following on YouTube, Apple, Spotify, and other streaming platforms. What sets us apart from other podcasts is we are four childhood friends going through life having similar but different experiences starting new journeys, businesses, and all types of new adventures that we share to the world.
We’d love to hear about how you think about risk taking?
There’s a certain kind of risk nobody warns you about.
Not the kind where you quit your job or bet your savings. The kind where you look across the table at people you’ve known since the hallways of your school — people who’ve seen you at your worst, your funniest, your most unfiltered — and say, “Let’s build something together.”That’s the risk we took.
Because here’s the truth about going into business with your childhood friends: the stakes are different. You’re not just risking time or money. You’re risking history. You’re risking inside jokes, holiday tables, the group chat that’s been going since before podcasts were even a thing. A failed business between strangers is just a failed business. A failed business between brothers? That’s a different kind of loss. And none of us has done this before. Scary future unknowing what’s next.
No playbook. No blueprint. Four first-time business owners figuring it out in real time — learning what it means to divide responsibilities, to disagree professionally, to show up even when life gets in the way, to hold each other accountable without holding grudges. That’s not just business. That’s growth. Uncomfortable, necessary, character-building growth.
But here’s what risk-takers understand that everyone else doesn’t:
The friendship wasn’t the liability. It was the foundation.
We already knew how to communicate. We already knew each other’s strengths, blind spots, and when somebody needed to be checked. Years of friendship didn’t make the risk bigger — it made them more equipped to handle it than most.
Some people wait for the perfect moment to take a risk. The perfect funding, the perfect plan, the perfect conditions. But Pull From The Jar wasn’t born out of perfect conditions. It was born from pure authenticity and love. The growth is the reward.
That’s what real risk looks like. Not reckless. Not fearless. Just four people who decided that the cost of not trying was higher than the cost of failing.
And we haven’t looked back since.
