Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It’s never a smooth road but it’s certainly an adventure. We all experienced the biggest bump together, that was COVID! Now I’m so pleased to see theatres and venues bouncing back and to be bringing these show out to the US from the UK means the world to the Night Owl team and talented performers.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
Night Owl Shows creates documentary style live music theatre that celebrates the stories behind some of the world’s greatest artists. Rather than producing traditional tribute concerts, we combine outstanding live performance with engaging storytelling, historical context and immersive visuals to give audiences a deeper connection to the music they love.

Since founding the company at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in 2016, we’ve grown from a single production into an international touring theatre company, presenting more than 1,600 performances at the Fringe, touring extensively throughout the UK, Australia and the United States, and producing more than twenty original music theatre productions.

Our shows have received over thirty industry awards and accolades and have performed to hundreds of thousands of audience members around the world.

What makes us most proud is the opportunities we’ve created for artists. Many of the performers who joined us early in their careers are now award winning headline acts touring internationally with Night Owl Shows. Seeing talented musicians grow into world class performers has always been just as rewarding as building successful productions.

What sets us apart is our commitment to authenticity. Every production is carefully researched and crafted to honour the artist’s music and legacy while creating a theatrical experience that informs as much as it entertains. We don’t try to imitate artists. We celebrate them by telling their stories with exceptional musicianship and genuine passion.

As we continue to expand internationally, our mission remains exactly the same as it was when we began: to create extraordinary live experiences, champion exceptional performers and introduce audiences to the stories behind the music that has shaped generations.

What makes you happy?
Making audiences happy makes us happy. During a performance the shared experinence is king above all else. We are all there to celebrate music we love, in this case the Music Of Amy Winehouse.
