Life & Work with Cory R. of Nashville

Today we’d like to introduce you to Cory R..

Hi Cory , can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Well it’s a long story so I’ll keep it brief. My name is Cory and I was born in Chicago IL, Raised in Gary IN, elevated and learned more about my dreams and goals in Lafayette IN and here I am now becoming a better man in the state of TN. I know that was a lot but I promise if it wasn’t for this journey I wouldn’t be the artist I am today. I come from a culture where talent is inevitable it just depends on what it is. Mine happens to be music, dancing and art. These are things that brings me the most joy.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
No road is ever smooth but its something I would never change even if its a Time Machine I wouldn’t get in it to change anything because everything happens for a reason, just trying my best not to repeat old cycles in my life. Most of my struggles came from uncertainty, a small chink in my armor is that I overthink sometimes but I’m getting ahead of it I promise.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Mostly known for my brand and music also directing my first 2 short films (1000 eyes) & (Closer To Home). My brand 13th riverside have had plenty of sales in TN just happy the brand sticks out and its something new and fresh. Music has been a colorful palette as well but main goal is to put real emotions in it, only speaking from the heart. 1 thing that will always set me apart is that I won’t have fear to do something different from others, ill always take risks with whatever I do.

Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
Just being able to bring other people joy with my music, keeping my family proud and also getting a chance to believe and achieve within myself. It helps me sleep at night.
