Hidden Gems: Meet Jamie Wyskiver of Love Life Chiropractic & Innate Connections Publications

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jamie Wyskiver.

Hi Jamie, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I was born in Dayton, Ohio where I attended my undergraduate, pre-medicine studies at Wright State University. After completing those studies in 2002, I moved to Marietta, Georgia to start graduate school at Life University. In 2006, I graduated from chiropractic studies with honors.

I have been adjusting for over 20 years and have been in practice since 2006 when I opened my first pediatric/pregnancy/family-based practice in Decatur, Georgia… just outside Atlanta. I moved to Spain in January 2011 to practice for a little over a year before moving to Tennessee at the end of 2012 to help my father avoid neck fusion surgery. My father was also the initial inspiration behind me choosing chiropractic after him having low back surgery. I knew there had to be a different, more honoring & longer lasting solution.

Thanks to years of experience, I am blessed to know & offer a variety of chiropractic techniques with hands-on gentle adjusting as well as overall lifestyle coaching to those I serve… with all care being suitable to each individual’s differing needs. Post doctorate studies, I obtained my pediatric & pregnancy certifications through the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA).

Aside from being a chiropractor… I am a wife, a mother, an educational & motivational public speaker, teach continuing education within my profession, am an internationally published author, a community service participant & a life enthusiast.

I support everything I can that promotes principled chiropractic so in that, I am a member of the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA), International Federation of Chiropractic Organizations (IFCO), Chiropractic Freedom Coalition (CFC), Tennessee Chiropractic Association (TCA), Georgia Council of Chiropractic (GCC), Florida Chiropractic Society (FCS) and Montana Chiropractic Council (MCC). I am also a Regent to Sherman Chiropractic College.

But as far as practicing chiropractic, I have 2 locations in the Upper Cumberland area and with the help of an amazing associate, Dr. Madalyn Luebke, we are blessed to serve out of Cookeville & Livingston, Tennessee. Although we have a heavy focus on pediatric & pregnancy care as it makes more sense to raise healthy kids than “fix” sick adults…. We offer generational care where we see individuals, students and families ranging from hours old to all the way in the 90’s! We want not only our community, but all communities to live the most clear & connected lives possible. With that, we aim to teach as many people as possible about brain-body connection and ideal innate intelligence expression through proper nervous system connection & the health of the whole being: mind, body & soul.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Absolutely not! Starting your own business/practice is never easy nor is starting over in your profession to which I have done 3 times. It is also challenging being pregnant, breastfeeding and eventually homeschooling while being newly established or just in a self run practice. The first practice was challenging to start on its’ own even though we were in a thriving community, we opened 4 months before I gave birth to my oldest daughter. There is also a lot to learn starting any new business but we also never accepted insurance, so that made us adopt a different route compared to how many chiropractors first start in practice. The second time starting again was to move to Spain so I could serve on a higher level. Life over there threw a few curve balls to say the least and my oldest daughter & I moved back from Spain after the passing of my youngest daughter at the time and then separating from my then husband. After moving to Tennessee and once I was ready to practice again, I started in a smaller population so I could ease my way back into serving the way I knew I had been called. Over time, chiropractic was changing more & more lives so I just wanted to keep serving as many people as possible, so I branched out in Cookeville. There, we have been reconnecting people to live their best lives since 2017 and have been growing since… with the anticipation of opening a 3rd location next summer!

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?

Post doctorate studies, I obtained my pediatric & pregnancy certifications through the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA). I continue to teach & learn because I always want to offer the best to those I serve. I always want to have an adjustment that will work for different people and even the same people as their bodies shift, change & heal.

As far as being a public speaker, I am a regular speaker at the Dynamic Essential Seminars, spoke at the Gathering Conference put on by the ICPA in Virginia this past May and am speaking in Denver, Colorado at the Mile High Seminar.

I love teaching continuing education to fellow chiropractors and my focus is often on gentle adjusting with pediatric/pregnancy/full family care, quantum physics with stress & trauma patterns, adjusting during labor & after birth and more.

A hobby of mine is to write kid books, affirmation books and even educational books for adults. I have created my own publishing company and am soon to offer 10 kid books on nervous system function & chiropractic on Amazon. I am also soon to publish my 2nd educational book titled, “Doctor You”! My first educational book is called, “Two People Guessing” and discusses what “diagnosis” really means and this understanding can be empowering in your healing journey. The affirmation books that are also offered on Amazon are for a holistic pregnancy and birth as they affirm the infinite wisdom within to create, sustain and birth life into this world.

And lastly, I write two quarterly magazines. “The Connected Way” is for the general public to gain education & awareness on nervous system health while “The Pediatric Connection” is an international magazine dedicated to connecting with other pregnancy & pediatric healthcare providers throughout the world while educating them on the importance of nervous system connection, chiropractic care for all ages and sharing testimonies of self-healing that many would call “miracles”. This magazine is published by a non-profit organization called Life Missions International and all proceeds go to their orphanage & birth center in the Dominican Republic and Haiti.
