Check Out Nicole Sullivan’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Nicole Sullivan.

Hi Nicole, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I was born in 1994 in Truth or Consequences, NM. I was one of the last people to be born there, as the hospital closed shortly after. I spent my formative years unrooted, poverty and the law kept my family on their feet. A victim of CSA, I helped my father get arrested, and fought for the right to normalcy. An artist, I developed my skills and have shown around the world. Right now I make videos for YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram with over 40M views and 4.3M likes and 20k followers across platforms.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
My life has been a smile through the strain. My parents both have learning disabilities, I’m a first generation college student. While I skipped second grade, I had a lot of social challenges to navigate as well as a chaotic homelife. When my parents went to jail and my siblings and I were separated by the state, I did everything I could with my social worker to be told updates on them. When we were all miraculously adopted by our grandparents, we did a lot better.

I have been assaulted multiple times since becoming an adult. I made up for the year I skipped in college when it took me a year longer to finish my Bachelor’s of Fine Arts than expected. My grandfather passed years ago, my grandmother died a week and a half after I moved to Nashville from New Mexico in 2022. I have been orphaned twice.

There are many struggles in my life I’ve had to shed and overcome.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
My work as The Stars and God differentiates from others in the way that I am popular with a cult following rather than a mass audience. I describe myself as a cultural mortician. I dissect and autopsy real life. I break down behaviors, aesthetics, movements, and attempt to explain my own philosophies by relating them to media and historical happenings.

What I am most proud of is my gentle hand in helping true crime in New Mexico receive a spotlight. I have been told that my deep dive topics have sparked secondary long form debates and intense discussions amongst X users.

I promote Girl Philosophy, concepts I have termed are “neglect farming”; “stop organizing your life over their understanding”, and I frequently deconstruct and critique right wing social axioms.

In terms of your work and the industry, what are some of the changes you are expecting to see over the next five to ten years?
I see myself growing exponentially over the next 5-10 years. While I am actively pursuing an MS in Psychology, I will make my own path as I have done. I will eventually be one on one with more celebrities, and they will be open in sharing their journeys with me and with an audience that appreciates them.
