Check Out Demetria “MzMetchi” Brown’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Demetria “MzMetchi” Brown.

Hi Demetria “MzMetchi”, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
My journey has always centered around creating meaningful connections through storytelling. While working full-time in commercial real estate, I built The Blueprint Media Company with a vision of creating platforms that celebrate entrepreneurs, artists, small businesses, and community leaders whose stories often go untold.

What began as a passion project has grown into a media ecosystem that includes The MzMetchi Show, The Blueprint Live, Flavor & Finds with MzMetchi and the Linked & Lit Experience, where I bring together professionals, brands and entrepreneurs through networking and experiential events.

Along the way, I’ve had the opportunity to interview incredible people, produce community-focused content, host live events, expand into acting, and work with brands across hospitality, food and beverage, lifestyle, and tourism. Every step has reinforced my belief that authentic storytelling has the power to create opportunity, build relationships, and strengthen communities.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. Building a business while maintaining a full-time career requires constant discipline, sacrifice, and learning how to balance competing priorities.

I’ve also navigated significant personal health challenges, including multiple surgeries related to endometriosis, while continuing to grow my business and show up for my community. Those experiences have changed my perspective. They’ve taught me to lead with purpose, protect my peace, and focus on building something that creates lasting impact.

Like many entrepreneurs, I’ve faced moments of uncertainty, limited resources, and setbacks.
Each challenge has strengthened my resilience and reminded me why I started this journey in the first place.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I’m a media personality, producer, entrepreneur, and experiential marketer. Through The Blueprint Media Company, I specialize in helping businesses and organizations tell their stories through video production, interviews, event coverage, brand storytelling and community engagement.

What sets me apart is that I don’t just create content, I create experiences. Whether I’m producing a television show, hosting a networking event, covering a community celebration, or partnering with brands, my goal is always to connect people in meaningful ways.

I’m especially proud that my platforms consistently create visibility for small businesses and entrepreneurs. Watching businesses gain customers, build partnerships, or receive recognition because of a feature or event is one of the most rewarding parts of what I do.

Are there any apps, books, podcasts, blogs or other resources you think our readers should check out?
I’m also a big believer in learning through real-world experiences. Attending industry events, networking with other entrepreneurs, and staying active within my community have been just as valuable as any book or podcast.

On the practical side, I rely on apps like Canva, CapCut and AI for brainstorming and strategy and social platforms like LinkedIn, Instagram and Threads to stay connected to trends, brands and conversations that inspire new ideas.
