Hi Regina, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My journey to founding VicTory 4 Kidz began with a simple but powerful belief: every child deserves the opportunity to discover their potential before making life-changing career decisions. Throughout my career as a registered nurse and educator, I saw firsthand that many students—especially those from underserved communities—had limited exposure to healthcare careers and lacked opportunities to connect with professionals who could inspire them. I wanted to change that.
What started as a vision to inspire and empower youth has grown into VicTory 4 Kidz, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing hands-on healthcare career exploration, mentorship, and educational experiences. My goal has always been to help young people see what’s possible, build confidence in themselves, and recognize that their dreams are within reach. By partnering with schools, healthcare organizations, and community leaders, I am committed to creating meaningful opportunities that prepare the next generation of compassionate healthcare professionals and community leaders.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Like many nonprofit founders, one of my greatest challenges has been securing the resources, funding, and community partnerships needed to grow VicTory 4 Kidz while keeping our healthcare career exploration programs accessible to the students who need them most. Building awareness of our mission has also required patience and persistence, as creating lasting community impact doesn’t happen overnight. There have been moments when the challenges felt overwhelming, but each obstacle has strengthened my commitment to this work. Seeing the excitement and confidence that students gain through our healthcare career exploration programs reminds me why I started this organization. I am incredibly grateful for the volunteers, educators, healthcare professionals, donors, and community partners who have believed in our mission and continue to help us create opportunities that inspire the next generation of healthcare professionals and community leaders.

I founded VicTory 4 Kidz in 2022 with a mission to inspire and empower young people through healthcare career exploration, mentorship, and transformative learning experiences. Throughout my career as a registered nurse and educator, I have seen how powerful it can be when children are given the opportunity to discover their strengths, build confidence, and envision a future filled with possibilities. That belief became the foundation of VicTory 4 Kidz.
Through hands-on healthcare career camps, interactive workshops, and partnerships with educators, healthcare professionals, and community organizations, I strive to introduce youth to a wide range of healthcare careers while helping them develop leadership skills, compassion, and a heart for serving others. My goal is not only to expose students to meaningful healthcare career pathways but also to provide them with the knowledge, resources, and encouragement they need to become the next generation of healthcare professionals, leaders, and changemakers in their communities.
Do you have any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
One of my earliest memories is being drawn to helping others. As a child, I was always curious about how people could make a difference in someone’s life through kindness, care, and service. I admired those who dedicated themselves to helping their communities and found joy in encouraging and supporting others whenever I could. Those experiences shaped my passion for healthcare and education and instilled in me the belief that every child deserves someone who believes in their potential. Looking back, those early lessons became the foundation for my career as a nurse and educator and ultimately inspired me to establish VicTory 4 Kidz, where we help young people discover their strengths, explore healthcare career opportunities, and believe in the possibilities that lie ahead.
