Today we’d like to introduce you to Biancha Darden.
Hi Biancha, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I got into Aesthetics because of my little sister. We are 10 years apart, and we had never had the opportunity to attend school together. I thought it was a wonderful time for us to experience that. I had already had my bachelor’s degree in psychology for about 6 years before I pursued a career and Aesthetics. During this time it was very hard economically to find a job with just a bachelor’s degree, and I decided why not and an extra streamer income to my repertoire, while also sharing this experience with my little sister. Once I graduated from Aesthetics School and became licensed, I worked in the industry for 6 years; building clientele, learning the ropes, and curating a product line. In 2021, I was approached with the offer I simply could not refuse and that was to be my own boss. So in November of that year I stepped out on faith and opened my business, NaturallyUnique Esthetics. The seeds for it were planted in 2019 when I began making products. Now it is my own baby. I not only perform skin care services for my clients but I also provide them with skin care products that are natural and ingredients specific to Target any skin care goals they would like to reach. Also within that time I began creating metaphysical jewelry as well. I became very fascinated with how stones and crystals can provide the same healing benefits as herbs and holistic modalities. So here we are in 2026, and I’m living the wildest dreams of a girl sitting in the back of a nail salon and 2018.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
As with any dream that we seek to pursue, there are definitely challenges. For one, I was a single mother, and one of my children is on the autism spectrum. But I did not let that stop me, and I will never let that stop him. I would never consider that a challenge, that is just the way things are. We all are different and lies somewhere within that Spectrum. So life had to be modified, yes. Accommodations had to be made, sure. But that’s. At some point we will all have to accommodate for something. If anything my children have pushed me to always do my best and everything I set out to accomplish. I want to always be an example of what they can accomplish no matter what life throws their way.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
So in addition to my BA in psychology, I also hold an Associates in aesthetic technology. I specialize in skin care, makeup, waxing, and ingredient knowledge. I am known for always providing excellent customer service, and reputable client/ provider relationships are so important to me. I prefer a well-educated client over a dollar any day! I am passionate about what I do. I’m passionate about skin care. And I’m passionate about my clients satisfaction. Nothing else matters in that treatment room. I am most proud of the fact that I created this business from basically nothing. I had dreams of having a successful career, and they have come true. I still have so much more I would love to accomplish. This is just the beginning!
How do you think about luck?
I don’t believe in luck. Matter of fact I don’t think you have enough publishing space for me to give you the depth of what I believe. However, I believe that we all are exactly where we should be, and life is what you make it. When you are presented opportunities you take them, and you act upon them responsibly. You give things your all. And you never give up.
