Daily Inspiration: Meet Steven Ferrand

Today we’d like to introduce you to Steven Ferrand.

Hi Steven, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Sure, so I moved to Nashville in 2020 right in the middle of the pandemic, with a dream of music on my mind, within a few weeks of living here I became friends with Joanne Cash which happens to be Johnnys sister, she’s been a great support in navigating show business, as well as just a great friend! Through my years in music I’ve had the privilege of working with folks like Merle Haggards wife Leona Williams, and Charlie Prides brother Stephen Pride among others, after a shift and hiatus I thought why not give acting a try and here we are a couple years in and I’ve had the incredible opportunity to be a part of 2 movies and now my 3rd tv series

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Absolutely not! You always hear stories (mostly in country songs haha) about trials and troubles along the way… it’s true! We all face them, my journey has included alcoholism, a stroke, a battle with suicide and depression and I think a lot of that has been from losing my father shortly after moving to Nashville and also the fact I wanted fame over night… it doesn’t come overnight if your wondering!

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
First and foremost I try to be the one that loves first and hates never! That’s important in today’s world, we’re all facing battles no one has a clue about!
But acting has become my thing, every time I’m on set or in front of camera I am in my place, wether that mean I get to be silly or serious, happy or sad, energetic or boring ha! What I like most is I’ve become a person that even when I’m away from the camera you never know what’s going to happen, I could give you the best (maybe worst) joke you’ll ever hear or I could fall on the floor and cause a scene!

What sort of changes are you expecting over the next 5-10 years?
Oh I don’t know, I know where I’d like to be… I’d like to keep moving forward with acting and time on set, continue meeting some of the coolest people in the world and visiting some of the most amazing places but we’ll leave that up to what comes!
