Daily Inspiration: Meet Heather Petry

Today we’d like to introduce you to Heather Petry.

Hi Heather, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
After 21 years of working as a Massage Therapist, I retired in to be a stay at home mom. In 2020, with a toddler and a baby at home, I needed a creative outlet. I started trying my hand at making charcuterie boards. I learned from some great people and realized I really enjoyed making them. In 2025, I created HP Charcuterie and started making boards for more than just family and friends and have customers all over middle Tennessee.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Deciding what to charge and valuing my time was my biggest struggle. On another note, the worst thing is buying a Brie round and coming home to unwrap it and it’s gone bad even though it’s well within the expiration

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
HP Charcuterie
I love making charcuterie boards and grazing tables.
It’s so rewarding when someone finds me from word of mouth of another customer.
I love creating and making people happy. I won’t put out a product I don’t stand behind. I also fill my boards very full so you truly get what you pay for!

Is there anything else you’d like to share with our readers?
Christmas and Teacher Appreciation themed boards are my favorite!
