Today we’d like to introduce you to Mrs. Phancee Davis.
Hi Mrs. Phancee , we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
From brick-and-mortar to mobile, COVID changed the way we did business. During that time, I came up with what I thought was a bright idea, buy a bus and transform it into a party bus. It took some time, but I eventually brought it to life
But I didn’t want to create just any party bus. I wanted to create an experience, a space where people could let loose, have fun, make memories, and celebrate the special moments that life gives us.
That idea became Phancee Party Bus. What started as a creative way to adapt during a challenging time turned into a business built around celebration, connection, and helping people create unforgettable memories.
Today, I’m proud of how far the idea has come. I took a difficult season, found an opportunity in it, and turned a simple idea into something that allows people to celebrate life, one event at a time.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It absolutely has not been a smooth road. There are a lot of expenses and liabilities that come with running a party bus business that people don’t always see from the outside. Insurance, maintenance, fuel, repairs, licensing, and unexpected mechanical issues can add up quickly.
At one point, I realized I couldn’t continue trying to keep up with my competitors while also keeping my prices low. When you’re operating a large vehicle, one major mechanical failure can cost thousands of dollars, and one or two parties certainly won’t cover that expense.
That was a difficult lesson for me. I realized that you can’t build a sustainable business by constantly underpricing yourself. I’ve had to increase my prices to reflect the true cost of operating the business and protecting my customers and myself.
It’s not as easy as it looks, but every challenge has taught me something about running a business, understanding my value, and making decisions that allow the company to survive and grow.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
My work is really rooted in one thing, creating experiences and finding ways to turn ideas into something real. I’m an entrepreneur, content creator, and business owner, and I’ve built multiple businesses around creativity, celebration, and helping people make memories.
Phancee Party Bus is the business that I really want to grow. This business specialize in creating fun, personalized experiences for birthdays, graduations, celebrations, corporate events, and those “just because” moments that deserve to be celebrated. But I also operate other businesses and creative ventures, so I’m constantly creating, marketing, networking, and finding new ways to turn my ideas into income.
What makes my journey unique is that I’m doing all of this while also working a full-time job and let me tell you, that is a challenge! Balancing a career, multiple businesses, personal responsibilities, and still finding the energy to create is not easy. There are days when I’m exhausted, overwhelmed, and wondering how I’m going to get everything done, but I keep going.
I think what sets me apart is that I’m not afraid to start. I don’t wait until everything is perfect. I see an opportunity, figure it out, and take the leap. COVID taught me that you have to be willing to adapt, and entrepreneurship has taught me that you have to be willing to keep adapting.
What I’m most proud of is not just the businesses I’ve built, it’s the fact that I’ve continued to build despite the challenges. I’ve created opportunities for myself instead of waiting for someone else to create them for me. I’ve learned how to pivot, how to price my value, how to take risks, and how to keep showing up.
At the heart of everything I do, Phancee’ represents creativity, resilience, celebration, and the belief that you should never be afraid to bet on yourself.
Do you have any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
My favorite childhood memories are rooted in family. I remember celebrating together, playing with my cousins, and being able to walk freely to the corner store without having to worry about the world around me.
I grew up in a very small town, and there was something special about that simplicity. I didn’t have to worry about grown-up situations or the stressors of life. I was able to simply be a kid, play, laugh, spend time with my family, and enjoy the little things.
I think we’ve lost sight of just how important family is. Life gets busy, and sometimes we forget the people we grow up with and the memories we create together are some of the things that stay with us forever.
I’ll never forget where I come from or the people who made my childhood special. Those memories shaped me, and no matter how much life changes, family will always be a part of who I am. They have taught me life long lessons
