Today we’d like to introduce you to Ceyda Durmus.
Hi Ceyda, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I’ve always been someone who finds beauty in the little things — a beautiful corner of a home, the perfect outfit, an old piece with a story behind it, or simply a moment worth capturing. For a long time, I never imagined that those little things could actually become part of my career.
My journey into content creation started very naturally. I began sharing things I genuinely loved — my home, fashion, beauty, motherhood, and everyday life. There wasn’t a big plan behind it in the beginning. I was simply creating because I enjoyed it. Little by little, people started connecting with what I was sharing, and brands began noticing my content too. What started as something creative for myself slowly turned into opportunities to work with brands I genuinely love.
Today, I’m building both sides of that dream — growing as a content creator while also growing Lala Vintage, with the hope of one day opening my own physical shop. I’m still very much in the middle of my story, which is probably my favorite part. I don’t know exactly where it will take me yet, but I’ve learned that some of the best things can grow from simply following what genuinely excites you and being brave enough to see where it leads.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely hasn’t always been a smooth road. I think one of the hardest parts for me has been learning to trust myself and not compare my journey to what I see online. Social media can make you feel like everyone else is growing faster, doing more, or somehow has everything figured out.
There were so many times I questioned myself, especially in the beginning. I had to learn everything as I went — how to create better content, how to work with brands, how to negotiate and, most importantly, how to understand my own value.
Becoming a mom also changed the way I work. I wanted to continue building something for myself while still being present for my daughter, and finding that balance isn’t always easy. Some days I have all these ideas and plans, and then real life happens.
But I think that’s also what taught me the most. I’ve become more confident in my own style, more comfortable saying no, and much less afraid of doing things differently. I’m still learning as I go, but I think I’ve finally stopped feeling like I need to have everything figured out before I take the next step.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
My work is mostly centered around lifestyle content — home, fashion, beauty, and motherhood. I love creating content that feels beautiful and put together, but still like real life. I’m probably happiest when I have an idea in my head and get to turn an ordinary space, outfit, or everyday moment into something visually special.
I think what sets my content apart is that I don’t try to make everything look too perfect. I love aesthetics, but I also want people to feel like there’s a real person behind what they’re watching. My home is actually my home, the clothes I share are things I really wear, and when I work with a brand, I always try to find a way to make the product fit naturally into my world instead of making my content feel like an advertisement.
I’m also not afraid to mix different parts of my life. One day I might be sharing a home project, the next an outfit, a beauty product, or a little moment with my daughter. I think that mix has become part of my style because it reflects who I actually am rather than forcing myself into one specific category.
What I’m most proud of is that I’ve been able to turn something I genuinely enjoy doing into work and build relationships with brands that once felt completely out of reach. Every time a brand comes back to work with me again, or tells me they loved what I created, it still means a lot to me. I never want to lose that excitement.
Alright, so to wrap up, is there anything else you’d like to share with us?
I think I’d just say that you don’t have to have everything figured out before you start. I definitely didn’t. A lot of what I’m doing today came from simply trying something because I enjoyed it, learning along the way, and allowing myself to change direction when something didn’t feel right.
I also think it’s so easy, especially online, to feel like you’re behind. But everyone’s life moves at a different pace. Some of the opportunities I’m most grateful for came when I wasn’t expecting them at all.
So I’m trying to enjoy where I am while still dreaming about what’s next. I’m really grateful for the people who follow along, support my work, and trust me to share a little piece of my life with them. I’m excited to see where it all goes from here.
