Meet Kenzie Clark

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kenzie Clark.

Hi Kenzie, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Art means everything to me. I grew up with art all around me; my dad being in the Nashville symphony opera, designing clothes for fashion shows, both my mom & dad being the makeup artists for several musicals, etc. It was in my bones to love art. My sister & I would make outfits & sets out of anything we could get our hands on & have “fashion shows” & “photoshoots”. I remember literally taking the curtains off the walls & making my own Belle costume for Halloween one year.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Art was always there for me. I struggled with depression & some trauma as a child, but art was always there as an outlet. I usually created something with the pain. Fast forward ten years; one divorce, lots of trauma & abuse, several attempts on my own life, & some new health complications later, art still remains the constant in my life. My most recent health battle has left me unable to physically function most days, & it’s a day to day struggle to remain hopeful. I use my art as a window to my emotions; my pain, my anger, my self-doubt, etc. – the things I will never disclose on social media through words. My poses are representative of my emotions. I use the pain to seep through the image into some form of inspiration for the viewer. I want you to FEEL something when you look at my photos. Art is a necessity in my life. If I’m not creating, I am not existing.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I specialize in high fashion & avant-garde modeling. I offer pose coaching & also am available for styling. I would say I’m known for my out of the box thinking & ability to take a photo to the next level through my posing. I’m most proud of my influence on others; I get a lot of aspiring models letting me know that they highly admire my work & that I give them inspiration to keep going. What sets me apart is my ability to infuse emotions into my poses.

What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
If I was ever to compromise my personal style & what makes me unique, I think I wouldn’t be successful.

  • My standard booking rate for modeling is $75 an hour.
