Today we’d like to introduce you to Lenora Gonzalez.
Hi Lenora, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I’ve been in the salons since I was a little girl, with my grandfather being a hairstylist and salon owner. I think that must have peaked an interest. I decided to do hair and eventually makeup when I figured out the college path was not for me after my freshman year. I did some training and assisting my grandfather in California, where I’m from and eventually made my way back to music city. This is where I started doing makeup. I now serve my guests at my private studio in Midtown. Striving to provide them with a look and feeling of beauty and confidence.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Every road has its twists and turns, I like to think I’ve handled them the best I could following my heart.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I provide hair and makeup for multiple occasions. I also work with guests in the salon to create their everyday look, providing haircuts, color, hair extensions, Brazilian blowouts. I always try to really listen to what my guest’s wants, needs, and concerns are regarding their look. And always try to maintain and enhance the integrity of their hair.
What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
Consistency is key.
