Inspiring Conversations with Laura Butler of The Hometeam Dream

Today we’d like to introduce you to Laura Butler.

Hi Laura, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
My background is in property management. I was an assistant manager with Greystar when I decided I wanted to start my own business.

My desire to work from home came after I had my daughter in 2017. I knew I wanted to be home with her but I also desired to make an income. Soon after having her, I decided to start a consulting business and offer social media management and email marketing to small businesses. This business grew and I was able to replace my income and quit my corporate job!

Since starting my business, I have served many local brick and mortars and also online entrepreneurs! I truly love what I do and am so appreciative of my clients.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
It definitely wasn’t easy! It took me about six months to grow my client base in order to replace my income. I was working full time, building up my business during my “off” hours, all while taking care of my child. It was really hard work to get it going! But I was determined!

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
The Hometeam Dream got its name because my greatest motivation to start this business was so I could be home with my team! It was truly my dream. And now I am living it!

I serve faith-based entrepreneurs and local brick and mortar, mom and pops! I take their social media marketing completely off their plates. I create the strategy and plan, then execute it.

I also offer 1:1 social media strategy sessions. This is to help businesses get crystal clear on their messaging and social strategy. We create the plan, and they implement it! A great option for businesses who do not want to outsource completely.

I am known for my bubbly personality. My clients are my family and I truly love supporting them and knowing them and their lives!

Can you talk to us a bit about the role of luck?
I don’t believe in “luck” per say, but I believe in God and His timing and plan for my life.

If I hadn’t worked a corporate job, I wouldn’t have been able to appreciate my new business and the freedom it provided me when I quit. But this was God’s plan and timing.

I truly believe that He cares about us and if we have faith, He will always provide. He has done immeasurably more in my life personally and financially than I ever thought possible.
