Inspiring Conversations with Michelle Campos of EventsLYFE

Today we’d like to introduce you to Michelle Campos.

Hi Michelle, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
For the last ten years, I have been in the hotels side of planning and producing events with luxury brands such as The Ritz-Carlton and EDITION hotels. For a few years now, I have wanted to take a leap of faith and start my own event planning company however the timing was never quite right. Then we jump into the pandemic of 2020 where my place of employment eliminated 80% of its staff including my role – to say the least, it was devastating and the unknown answer of when events would be back was constantly on my mind.

This led to taking that leap of faith and investing in my company that was everything I wanted to provide to others – a resource and a go-to for event planning and detailing. Our purpose is to make the special moments of your life memorable by offering you highly personalized and flawlessly executed events and wedding planning services that will leave a lasting impression on your guests.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
Maneuvering through the pandemic has been ever-changing in the events industry and has created the most challenges due to certain county/state restrictions. The downtime has allowed me to focus on systems for the business and has allowed me to network and meet those in my industry that could relate and help each other and vent about the struggles we have faced the last year.

We’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from when you were growing up?
My favorite childhood memory is going to the beach every weekend with my parents in Miami where I grew up. I love the warm weather, sunshine, and ocean breeze. Being Costa Rican, I have always felt drawn to the ocean.
